Ashville Guesthouse

Just got home, after a week at Ashville, and we have to say we found everything (except taxi availability, in the daytime) to be absolutely fabulous, The Girls were fantastic with us, they made our stay effortless and easy. Our room was big and spacious and very clean and parking the car was no problem, with their own large car park just outside the front door. Also the breakfast was brilliant, enough to set you up for a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way or enjoying one (or two) of Westport's 45 pubs (pub count provided by local taxi man Ollie O'Malley - very nice man). We highly recommend Ashville Guest House and Westport, and "We Will Be Back"

We received a very warm, friendly welcome when we arrived and , hearing that we were cold, the landlady turned the heating on for us. The guesthouse is situated on a road out of the main centre of Westport and on our first evening the landlady kindly gave us a lift into town! The second evening we walked into town, which took about 30 mins. It was downhill, but on a busy road without pavements. Each evening we caught a taxi back, which cost 6 Euros. The room was a little disappointing. The floor was of laminate, which made it cold and the furniture was dated. The bathroom was small and again dated, but the shower was very hot and powerful. We were asked what time we would like breakfast, but when we said 8.00am, we were told it didn't start till 8.30am! Again the ambience of the breakfast room was dated. The breakfast choices were fresh fruit, cereal, juices and a cooked breakfast with toast, tea and coffee. It was well cooked. The free wifi didn't work in our room, which was frustrating. We were able to use it on the landing, where there was a seat. Overall, the guesthouse was comfortable and suited our needs.

This was a wonderful experience. Hilary is a warm and gracious person ready to assist with everything from local transport and cups of tea to internet services. The breakfast was delicious and varied. We were very comfortable in our light filled room…. Thank you so much Hilary…

Our stay at Asheville Guesthouse was amazing. Host Hilary and Oliver were warm and welcoming, making us feel like family. The B&B has everything you need and more: comfort, cleanliness, a gorgeous Irish breakfast, and many special touches. The hosts are local and offered great recommendations. They booked us into a lovely dinner and arranged for a taxi. They really know how to take care of their guests. Westport town is one of my favorite places in Ireland and I can’t wait to come back and stay at this B&B year after year. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Ashville B&B, starting with the warm welcome from Hilary and Oliver. The room was so spacious and clean and the breakfast was excellent. This is very much a family business and the hosts are exceptional at making guests feel at home.

Excellent place to stay in Westport! The hosts were very welcoming and gave greta advice on what to do and see etc. WiFi available. Lots of car parking space. TVs in bedrooms. Delicious cooked breakfasts made to order as well as cereals and fresh fruit/yoghurt. Beds very comfortable and rooms spacious. Plugs right beside bed - good for phone charging.
