Lovely hotel, great location. Friendly staff, comfort and cleanliness as you would expect from a Premier Inn. No complaints about the hotel itself. However, it doesn’t have its own restaurant, it partners with the Beefeater next door. MASSIVE MISTAKE. This place is dreadful. I’m not a fussy eater, neither am I naive about the type of food and service I’m likely to get from such a chain . Nevertheless, I’ve rarely had a meal that was utterly inedible (knives and fork wouldn’t cut it). Staff so thin on the ground there was no one to complain to. Place deserted at just after 9pm on a Saturday night. We went elsewhere for breakfast on Sunday. Please address this, Premier Inn. You have a lovely place to stay, but there are others in Whitley Bay and if you can’t address the food and drink issues, it will not go well.

Clean, comfortable room adequately furnished. Large bed. Clean and functional bathroom. Quiet environment. Exceptionally helpful staff. Great location on sea front. My only criticism is the room was very hot without a window that could be opened. A staff member kindly provided a fan.

Fabulous experience! Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly. It’s in a great location with a car park next door. The room is standard premier inn with a comfy bed and plenty of plug sockets. A superb Premier that I very much hope to return to.

Stayed over to visit local amusements, sightseeing and to catch sunrise. Received a very warm welcome and a genuinely friendly chat every time we passed. The team were very helpful with any questions or requests we had. Nothing was an issue. Very comfortable bed.

Reception team great and always cheery throughout our stay. Clean room, extra teas and coffees available whenever. Breakfast next door great value and can't be knocked on location. Would definitely return when we come back up to the north east ,

Had to sit in reception on arrival at 2.20 pmas they were doing the change over. Then had to wait why another family jumped the queue then eventually got seen to and got told have to pay £15 if I want room before 3pm I said ok we will wait can we use the toilet had to use toilet in restaurant/ bar next door as there where no toilets. Paid £11 for drinks to use toilet m. Got out room at 3pm 1 floor stunk don’t know what it was… toilet was dirty so went down to reception to tell lady. She moved us to another room but unfortunately my bed wasn’t made up so had to take my own bedding off carry it us to new room. I noticed the mattress protector was full of black hard bits and my daughter’s bed was full of hair so I left the mattress protector and told reception. She apologised and took out breakfast off the bill. I returned later that evening to my bedding still in a pile on my bed with no mattress protector so I made my own bed up. We only had 1 towel in the room so had to get another the next morning. All in all not what you expected is to have to make your own bed up. Very disappointing

Good stay at the Premier. Lovely warm welcome, nice clean room and fantastic bed. All round a good, inexpensive stay. Handy for the Playhouse where we had a great night watching the Guitar Heroes . Great location right on the seafront and handy for the town

It's well worth getting a Seaview room, our view was amazing. The staff were all wonderful - friendly and helpful. The room could have done with more storage for clothes, the pillows were quite flat and the bathroom had a bad smell. The car parking was run by the council but was just outside the hotel and cost only £3 a day. There was plenty of room for our March stay but I guess it's more crowded during the summer. Altogether it was a nice stay.

Clean and pleasant - excellent position right on the seafront. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Shower was amazing. Only downside is that the windows do not open at all - not even on the latch as with normal premier inns, the rooms get very warm very quickly and it became uncomfortable. Altering the thermostat didn’t seem to have any effect either. I am someone who likes to be warm but it got even too warm for me. That being said that was the only slightly negative point for the whole stay. Can’t praise the staff enough from check in to check out they were fantastic
