This property offered everything that a visitor to Williamsburg would want. The rooms are well appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant had nice food and wines. It's is very convenient to the historical property. No reason to even get into a car unless you just wanted to explore the surroundings or go over to the beach. The convenience of parking your own care right there was very nice so that you could put your purchases in yourself and not have to bother to have a car brought up.

We have stayed in a lot of CW Resort properties. Houses, Inns, hotels, etc. Seems they could all use some updating. When I checked in at the Inn, I heard several people complain about some cosmetic issues in some of the rooms, and bugs. At our hotel, the lamp shades are yellowed, lamps are rusty, not enough plugs or USB ports, furniture upholstery is worn, very low lighting, and could just use a good cosmetic renovation. I asked for something from housekeeping and was told it would be delivered soon, but it never came. These properties used to be stunning with impeccable service, but are showing their age, and could all use a good facelift!

We just returned from a 2 night stay here and stayed in one of the Tavern rooms (they are a few blocks from the main inn). We were given a map of the area and our particular bldg was highlighted on that map. We found the parking and tried to identify the bldg from the map. We put our key into the door and it was someone else's room - mortifying. There are abolutely no markings on the outside of the building in the front or in the back to indicate which number bldg it is. We were lucky enough that someone who was working for the Inn happened to be leaving and asked if we needed help. She said she couldn't believe the directions we were given! So once we found our room, we were welcomed to 18th century ambiance.....small. They cannot even fit a side table on both sides of the bed. You also hear water run all night long from the other buildings. It was quaint but not what we expected. To exit out the back of the room to go to the parking lot (exit out the front door and you have to walk around the block), you have to go down 5 rickety wood steps with no handrail. I'm not sure how it is they can have it like this. My biggest complaint, however, is the junk resort fee you are charged everyday. I did not catch that when we booked it. The junk fee covers unlimited wireless (every hotel I've stayed at includes this), access to golf course (why not have the golfers pay this....not what we were there for), discount on triangle ticket (it's not a discount if I have to pay for it), parking (why not just charge for parking then.....that's what we rationalized it for. The restaurant we attended at the Lodge was very good for breakfast.

We stayed at the Williamsburg Inn to celebrate our 50th anniversary, We came to Williamsburg on our honeymoon, under very different financial circumstances. We loved this Inn, the service was amazing. Room, although pricey was spacious with lots of amenities. My only complaint is that you must call for ice, no machines on the floors. I was using a scooter because of a knee injury and the bellmen were so helpful, making sure it was adeuqately charged every day,

Ask for the Romance package, and the Queens Room, truly the best hotel experience we have ever had. The Terrace Room dining was superb, the Rockefeller Room was breathtaking! If you want romance, and a couples lifelong memory, then this is the best experience you will ever have.

We love Williamsburg and decided to stay at the Williamsburg Inn as they were offering a third night free with two nights at the usual rate. The A/C did not work particularly well in our room. It is a beautiful olf hotel, but we would not stay here again unless there was a discount. There are other great options in Williamsburg that are a better value proposition.

Very disappointed with the Williamsburg Inn! We have stayed several times, and while the hotel and grounds are beautiful, the non-functioning AC for all nights of our stay made it nearly intolerable. The hotel tried to resolve the issue but did not completely fix it and caused lingering issues on our second night. I would love to recommend this beautiful hotel, but recommend looking elsewhere. They could do so much better.

A wonderful place to get away to for a few days! From fresh flowers in the lobby and in the rooms to a small pillow with chocolates and a nightcap left on your bed in the evening, out experience was perfect!

I stayed in one of the Colonial Houses, but you check in at the Inn and have house privileges there. Without exception, the staff there was friendly and helpful. I had one dinner and one breakfast in the restaurant. Both times a very pleasant experience and good food. Look at the murals in the restaurant, they are lovely!
