Friendly staff who were helpful with giving advice about local activities and restaurants. Lovely garden, big comfy bed and well furnished room. Slight mix up about payment on leaving, but resolved with out too much hassle.

The hotel is well located in the centre of town however parking and access by car was a big problem; we had to park a mile away. Our room (and those of other travellers) wasn't ready on arrival. The room was in the main building; the bed was comfortable and the room had usual amenities. The shower was a little dated. We used the bar which was comfortable although overly busy due to two large parties booked in for events that evening. The bartender, Micky, coped really well with the large number of customers from the events. Breakfast included a good choice of hot and cold options and service was good. We felt the hotel tariff was over-priced even allowing that we visited for the Christmas market in December.

I booked the most expensive one. The room was nice and big, but it was a bit old. If you go there, I recommend it. It’s very close to the city center. The service is good and the hygiene is okay.

The room and the price match. The breakfast at 12 pounds is good, which is more affordable than the outside. After I found out, I went back to the hotel to ask the staff to refund, but in the end I returned to the bank and still lost more than ten pounds. Maybe it was the difference in currency exchange? Tax? The hotel email address is wrong and the communication is not smooth. Ctrip's customer service is enthusiastic, but it seems to have little effect.
