What a fabulous find to stay at. This is an amazing place to stay in a stunning set. The tents are, in my opinion, beautiful and for something completely different to experience in Sri Lanka. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was tasty, best sri Lankan chicken curry we have had during our time here. Yala safari was arranged and our guide was great, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Would highly recommend a stay here.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Food was amazing! My son is caeliac and the restaurant catered for him very carefully. Grounds were clean & natural beauty of the area breathtaking. Birds everywhere along with palm squirrels, lizards and macaques. Accomodation really comfortable & eco friendly. Staff were welcoming & exceptionally polite and helpful.

We loved our tented camp accommodation at the Flameback Eco Lodge, in Weerawilla, Sri Lanka. The accommodation had all necessary amenities, plus a wonderful pool to escape the heat! Friendly monkeys abounded, and the grounds were spectacular. Also, the food and service at the location were wonderful! Such a great experience as a home base for our safari adventures. I highly recommend Flameback Eco Lodge for a comfortable and unique experience!

We loved our tented accommodation here, and swimming in the pool surrounded by excellent bird life. Both the pool and our room were facing the lovely river and a herd of water buffalo strolled by our tent one day. We enjoyed a local bird walk with the manager as our guide on our first night here, he was very knowledgeable and a good birder. Whilst the location was lovely, the constant loud music until late in the night and during the afternoons from the activities in the nearby Doubletree next door did ruin the ambiance for us. Obviously not the fault of Flameback but nevertheless did detract from what looked to be a peaceful location.

We had 2 nights at Flameback Eco Lodge in June this year. We were the only guests staying at the time and we upgraded to the honeymoon tent. This tent was fantastic. Plenty of room, bed was great and the bathroom was amazing. Staff were happy to help with all our needs and everything was available even though it was only 2 of us there. We went on a safari to Udawalawe with resort staff which I would highly recommend. We had as much time as we wanted and so many oppotunities to be up close to the animals. Well worth a vist to the on site spa. Hope to be back at this amazing place one day.

Top top notch place !! A little bit of heaven on earth. From meeting Saduni on reception (lovely girl, couldn’t do enough to help you) through to Ishan who helped guide our village visit, and helped us at meal times (so friendly and helpful), to chaminda (resident and truly wonderful naturist) every single member of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful visit. The glamping tents were SO comfortable- superbly comfortable bed, AC, loo, brilliant shower - everything and more that you could wish for - all the sounds of the outdoors, but in cosy luxury indoors!! The food was amazing - 7 courses and totally delicious. Lovely pool area, right close to lake, birds xx everywhere and land monitor lizards all around! We went on a couple of guided bird walks around the camp which we loved, and also went to Yala and were lucky enough to see a leopard close up, relaxed and personal!! What a thrill!! Great Spa on Stilts, too…. Cool and wonderfully tranquil and relaxing . If you get a chance to go to this camp - definitely go!!

A nice location, on a lake surrounded by the noise of wildlife. The restaurant offers a good selection of Sri Lankan and western food dishes. The tent was very well equipped. Lovely hot shower and really quite chic. Lovely, helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

This was our first experience in a boutique type property in Sri Lanka and Flameback Eco lodge was the best choice we made. It's next to the stunning Werawila lake which we had our first fishing experience. We were in their family suite.It was maticulasly clean and a beautiful property.Highly recommended. The location is easily accessible from Colombo with a 3hr drive via Southern highway. The staff is freindly and courteous and went over and above, accommodating our requests. You can do number of in-house activities including bonfire, dinner at the boat and fishing at lake Weerawila, birds watching etc. Our favourite was fishing.Thanks Flameback for making our holiday memorable.

This place was so tranquil! Set amongst nature, surrounded by birdlife. The tents were very comfortable. The food was delicious Best service I have seen. Prompt and nothing was too much trouble. Would have loved to stay longer and gone on their birdwalk.
