The staff were very friendly and welcoming. In good quiet location with a nice pub. It was very good value for money for a family (we booked direct). Pillows not the most comfortable.

Pleasant enough pub for lunch after a morning walk. Very nice countryside around. Staff friendly and the food pretty good and very reasonably priced. Good beers on tap Butcombe and one other I can’t remember. We sat in the garden - rather basic but OK.

This is a great little rural pub that caters for local and visitors. There are fancier meals available locally, but the food is comforting, tasty and great value for money. The bar is also welcoming if you just fancy a pint or two, with a great, welcoming atmosphere. Dogs are also welcome.

Quiet, remote location but relatively expensive
Hotel in a remote area so nothing within walking distance. Room was cold so I had to activate a portable, plug in heater. Dinner menu was fairly basic...no chicken, fish. Bathroom was small and shaving light not working. Relatively expensive compared to other hotels in the area.

Located in a quiet rural sleepy English village is this charming pub with rooms. The tired looking outside contradicts the nicely decorated room. It's small with a tiny bathroom but had the usual facilities and was clean. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Food was really very good, simple but delicious.

I had the most amazing lunch presented on a slate platter, a steak finely cooked, cut and laid out on the platter with fresh salad. The asian sauce complimented the meal. spot on ! and I do hope this chef stays to continue his top class recipies. I shall certainly be back with the family for more. Well done The Oak at Dewlish.
