Location & Setting: The venue is situated in a scenic coastal area with views of the sea, nearby campsites, and proximity to the South West Coast Path. The historic building, garden, and outdoor seating are frequently praised for their charm and ambiance.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, and can never fault the excellent staff, Louis, Nadia, Ella, Karlie, great customer service, food, cocktails and rooms!

Lovely pub but the “views” are from the car park. Had the mushroom soup which was not good. Mushrooms were weird and chewy. Would not visit again.

Walked here along the costal path and decided to have a late Sunday lunch . Very disappointed. Beef was chewy , roast potatoes were soft , like they had been frozen . Parsnips were hard . No cauliflower cheese as stated . The whole meal was barely warm .

Stayed for 3 nights and ate in the pub/restaurant every night as the food was so good. Great choice of menu with good portions. All the staff who served us were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend to anyone and will definitely return.

The menu is not very bit anyway but they did not have a couple of items that we wanted when we went to dine at 1700! We ended up with a couple of burgers and chips which were ok but the portions were very small. Good service and polite staff but we had so much better food in other pubs in the local area.

I stopped here with my family after a walk by the beach. We were served by a woman referred to as 'Titch' by other staff, who was rude from the outset. She stood at another side of the bar to us, telling us to call her when we'd made up our minds, served low measures of over-priced Badger ale and tutted when she was asked to top one up, saying there was nothing wrong with it. The glass was unlined and its contents stopped at least 15mm from the rim. It was not at all busy and we were shocked by her poor attitude, acting as if our custom was not wanted. We sat outside waiting for the sorbet my niece ordered for seome 20 minutes before asking another member of staff about it. This was melted by the time it came - making it useless on a hot day - and although my brother wanted to complain we simply finished up and went, not wanting any further confrontation. The experience put us off eating there and was especially disappointing as it was my brother's birthday. We are a polite family who expect a friendly greeting when we go to pubs and good manners from staff. We would not return and are very disappointed by the experience.

Great place for lunch outside on a sunny day with plenty of sunshaded tables. Chose chicken and bacon sandwiches which were focaccia bread and came with chips. Generous portion which we thought represents good value. Clearly popular with walkers as on coastal footpath. We drove and there is car park, but also saw cars parked on road, but not extensive parking here.
