Wooli River Lodges

This place was recommended by friends in Sydney and it was everything they said it would be, even down to how many paces to the local Pub ... Wooli is a little gem of a place and surrounded by beautiful beaches off the beaten track. The locals are really friendly and along with Geoff and his staff at The Lodges, have made the stay one to remember

Nice cosy comfortable “cabin”. We stayed one night with friends. Clean and a great location on the river. Managers were easy to deal with. Good place for a family. Close to the hotel for a meal. Highly recommended

We hired The Big House at Wooli River Lodges last week. The location was lovely .. The house was for 9 people. We had five and we very disappointed with the house. It needs a very good clean, only one tea towel and no cupboard doors, some curtains were missing. In one bedroom the blind was mouldy all over. I did try to clean it but didn’t work. Key was broken in the lock so could only use one door to get out to go away and lock the door.. One one small towel rack in each of the two bathrooms, no bins in the bathrooms. No mirrors in the bedrooms so with 9 people a bit difficult. Outdoor chair setting one arm on the chair broke when sat on. A very basic house. Luckily we took a lot of our own stuff. Would be awesome with a complete upgrade and some ambiance….

This is a small place comprised of a few well contained lodges. Located on a quiet branch of the main river it is perfect for families. It is tranquil and and well maintained. The hosts are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. If you are after cabin accommodation in Wooli, forget the over developed resort next door, this is the place to stay.

I was reluctant to talk about this place as I don't want the word getting out making it too popular. LOL! From the moment you arrive it has a relaxed and laid back feel. The self check in just adds to the laid back feel. The lodges are a bit outdated but parts of them have been renovated and moving forward there will probably be more renovations. We had a new bathroom in ours. Everything you need is here. Free canoes, SUPs and kayaks. BBQ area. The BBQ area needs a bit of an spruce up but has everything you need. The river frontage is amazing. Seating so you can fish or watch the sunset. There is enough space that you are not on top of each other. Everyone I met seemed friendly and happy, which is always a good sign. A short stroll to the pub, which has an excellent Thai restaurant and there is a general store if you need goodies like bread, milk and locally baked choc chip biscuits that were amazing. What more could you want really. A good place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just chill and be. The accommodation isn't the Ritz but the place definitely is a hidden oasis. Would love to go back and stay longer next time. Thanks for a great stay Geoff.
