I went here as I saw a photo of the location and took a chance. It was absolutely lovely. Tucked into a Canal Harbour. And the staff were as nice as any I have ever met. I took one of the rooms with a good canal view (don't miss this - get one of the expensive rooms). Plenty of space, comfy bed, good free WiFi, traditional style not modern. I could manage with ease to work at the little table. Almost as good as a desk. Nice bathroom. Plenty of parking space. Loved it! Downsides - walls a bit thin but more than made up for by everything else. Go there and relax. It is a very relaxing place.

A perfect place managed by great people. The love and passion for homely hospitality oozes from each corner of the premise. Great value for money! On a side note - a "sweet pink" on the terrace will forever lead my thoughts back to Hotel Gast Inn.

Wonderful place, very delicious food and lovely and caring hosts! We even received some nice travel package for lunch, as work in the wind industry. The rooms are nice and the place itself is very cozy as it is situated in an old building renovated in and decorated in a good manner. I feel a bit ashamed, as I forgot to pay for the dinner the following day, but was kindly reminded 😅 Highly recommended place!

The Hotel Gast Inn is now the Hotel Workum. We have been here several times and a lot has happened. The new owners welcomed us warmly and we immediately felt welcome. The lobby, restaurant and rooms have been modernized and everything is attractively and tastefully designed. The new bar offers real barista coffee and wishes are happy to be fulfilled. The location right on the water, at the old shipyard and at the lock is a highlight. It was a nice, relaxing stay and we will be happy to come back.

The hotel is small and nice. The operators are very nice, hard-working and hard-working. The breakfast was very tasty. The muffins in particular were a delight. The location of the hotel was very good. By bike you could get to the beach in 5 minutes and in the center in 3 minutes.

Very pleasant accommodation that exceeded our expectations. Since we were looking for accommodation for spontaneous bike tours, we decided on the Gast Inn at short notice. Our room corresponded exactly to the descriptions and was functional, attractive and renovated, with a direct view of the canal. What should be highlighted is the friendliness of the operating couple, who also offer a highly recommended evening menu once a week. The breakfast was nice, it was attentively topped up as needed. Since there are still a few tours left for us to cycle, we have decided to come back.

Zeer gemoedelijk ontvangst, heerlijke lunch gehad in de mooie tuin aan het water. Het personeel was zeer geïnteresseerd en konden ons goed adviseren naar het strand de alpaca’s en restaurants. Het lopen naar het treinstation was wat ver met 4 kids, de eigenaar loste ook dit op en werden gebracht!!

Bij Hotel Workum was alles goed: de ontvangst was vriendelijk; het hotel gezellig; de kamer schoon, fijn en ruim. Toiletruimte ook prima in orde, ruim en met 2 wastafels. Wij hadden een kamer met balkon en met uitzicht op de haven met de oude schepen! En bovendien ook koffie- en thee mogelijkheden op de kamer. Grote pluspunten: er waren ruim voldoende stopcontacten aanwezig in de kamer, en er was ventilatie in de badkamer! Dat hebben we wel anders gezien! Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd, met ruime keuze aan brood(jes), beleg, roerei, fruit en muesli-ingrediënten. Zelfs de decaf werd direct vers voor me gemaakt! Petje af. De locatie is heel mooi, en Workum is een gezellig stadje met voldoende restaurants. Wij komen zeker terug als we weer in Friesland zijn.

Bonjour, Excellent hôtel, dans un cadre superbe, le long d'un canal et proche d'un petit centre ville de Workum. Vraiment très propre (comme toute la hollande) et des gens très sympathiques et accueillants. Idéal pour des randonnées à vélo. l'endroit est très calme. Il y a des petits chantiers de construction et de rénovation de bateaux en bois traditionnels.
