The hotel is situated in a beautiful, green setting in a very quiet area. Our standard double room was quite spacious and simply furnished. A complimentary bottle of water was provided. There's a gym, table tennis, a natural pond, and a small swimming pool (4m x 8m) with a counter-current system. We didn't try the sauna. Breakfast was varied and offered a good selection. The omelet with everything was delicious. We felt very comfortable.

Very friendly and professional staff. The restaurant is very good, expensive – but worth the money. The grounds are beautiful; the pool and sauna area are a manageable size but very nice. It's located a bit outside the city center, about a half-hour walk away.

Unfortunately I can't give a better review because I was really disappointed. The room was dirty and needed to be cleaned. The construction in front of the terrace at just after 7am was obviously very bad. Not a word about it when we checked in. Only the breakfast was really good and the wellness area was also pleasant but the service was not good at all.

There were no tea bags in the room and when we asked the hotel to provide they wanted to charge us for this. Providing tea and coffee in the rooms is basic for every hotel and it was quite shocking that the hotel did not want to provide tea bags. They must realise that everyone doesn’t drink coffee and some people would like to have tea in their rooms.

Lovely hotel in Wurzburg We had a lovely stay in the Hotel Melchior Park, Würzburg. It’s a little way out of the historic centre but right on a good bus route (very cheap and direct service to the centre). Hotel was immaculately clean, very quiet and all the staff we met were very friendly and efficient. Our room had a full balcony and overlooked the ‘natural’ outdoor pool. We’d definitely stay here again if we went back to Wurzburg.

Hotel is fantastic. Could absolutely see myself staying there in the future due to the saunas and pool area. Did not try the restaurant, so can’t rate it here in this review.
