This guesthouse has a fantastic design. The tea is delicious, and the tableware is very unique. It's located near Shuxiang Temple, and the housekeeper even picked us up from the station. The service is excellent, and the owner is friendly and attentive. They offer a thoughtfully prepared sweet soup every day, and the vegetarian meals are absolutely delicious!

My wife and me stayed there for 5 nights in Oct/Nov 2025. The location is good and away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activities. It’s in a quiet location and you can do your hikes up to 凤林禅寺, one of the rare few operating monastery with quietness and serenity in the area. The staff there are friendly, welcoming and professional. Room was cleaned thoroughly and the snacks in the room replenished daily. Their vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner is simply awesome. I look forward to it everyday. The chef 赵师傅 is a master in creating delicious vegetarian meals. The other staff worth mentioning are 茵茵,阿文,宝珠and小王. The only thing they can improve on is to consider installing a self-service laundry room with a dryer. Will return if I’m visiting 五台山again.

This is my second stay at Tingshan, and it feels just like home. I especially love the chef's cooking. My husband always chats with him for a bit. Of all the food we've had in Shanxi, his is the best. It's amazing how delicious vegetarian dishes are. Tingshan, bringing good fortune home. Looking forward to the next visit.

The guesthouse staff were all very nice and attentive, especially the butler from Taipei, who was incredibly welcoming and even proactively helped us plan our sightseeing route, allowing us to better enjoy our visit. The rooms were very clean, and they provided bottled water, tea, snacks, and sweet soup in the evening. The rooms were well soundproofed. The food at the guesthouse was delicious, with buffets available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also provided convenient transportation to and from Shuxiang Temple. I will definitely stay here again next time I come.

The room was comfortable, there was an extra bed for the children, and we could enjoy the surrounding scenery. We also enjoyed tea, vegetarian food, and pottery at the guesthouse, and had a warm cup of sweet soup in the evening. I would definitely come back!

This was a fantastic guesthouse; I'd definitely bring my parents back next time. The owner and staff were incredibly attentive. I especially loved their vegetarian dishes—cooked by the chef, and the owner treated us to a meal! 👍 It felt so homey, and they were always there to help.

The guesthouse has a great location with tranquil views of green mountains and cypresses from the window. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have a Zen-like feel. This is simply a hidden gem of a guesthouse in Wutai Mountain! From the environment to the service, I felt incredibly comfortable! They provide all three meals a day and transportation, so I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!
