Hotels in Wuye Temple, Wutai

I am very satisfied with living in such a homestay in Wutai Mountain. The room is very new and has smart curtains. The boss also intimately gave the room a large bucket of mountain spring water. The tea tastes good. The location is OK, the top of the Bodhisattva is actually closer than the Wuye Temple. We went to Wuye Temple on the day of arrival. It took 20 minutes to walk. Overall, it was a good experience.

The rooms at the B&B are very new, and the service is very friendly. The temple is about 2-3 bus stops from the central area, and the B&B has a dedicated shuttle service to the bus stop, which is always available. The restaurant on the first floor serves authentic Shanxi cuisine, and we had both meals there. There's also a sutra copying room and handmade beading on the third floor. Upon check-out, they gave us a bottle of Shanxi aged vinegar, which was inconvenient to carry, so they even mailed it back to us, free of charge. It was so thoughtful! I'll definitely stay at this B&B again if I have the chance.

Stayed for two nights in the ”View of the Mountain” bed room, you must come to boast. First of all, the room is really oversized! My friend and I spread out two 28-inch suitcases, and walking did not affect it at all. The most surprising thing is that every corner is arranged very carefully, and the retro wooden furniture, Zen ornaments on the table, bath towels and other details feel very careful. Secondly, it is very quiet, and the curtains have a good shading effect. I wake up naturally when I sleep. Breakfast is an unexpected surprise, it is fresh and delicious, and the taste is very online. Finally, the service is the service. The housekeeper in the store is still very warm and caring. If you need anything, you will help immediately. If you want to live comfortably, it is definitely a good choice to come here~

Located near to Taiyuan town bus station. Can walk to the hotel from bus station, or if u tired of walking, can take the public bus from 普化寺 stop to 友谊路口 stop. (FOC, all public bus in Taiyuan Town does not need to pay bus fare). Only one bus stop to the hotel. Very good location. Walking distance to the centre of Taiyuan Town temples. Cos, public buses sometimes are packed, Can choose walking if not tired. Traffic jam in the morning too. Outside hotel is shopping street of the town. Hotel are near to 3 vegetarian restaurants. Can buy flowers baskets and fruits baskets from the shopping street flower n fruits stores if u wanna offering to Buddha. Flowers baskets are huge, price from RMB80. Fruits baskets RMB100. If buy from store outside temples, price might be more than shopping street price. The hotel boss and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Always distributing bottles drinks to us when we leaving hotel. Helped us book van to wutaishan mountain 5 terraces. And helped us book car for our one day trip out of the central, to the temples which are not so accessible by public buses (清凉寺，金阁寺, 竹林寺 and etc). Car booking half day trip is RMB300, full day RMB500. Recommended to book car, less walking up slope, driver can park car straight to temples car park. Thumb up for the hotel services! Thank you! Staying here while visiting Mount Wutai was so peaceful! It felt so peaceful, and the service was great. The decor was also very nice! We couldn't arrange a ride to the scenic area, but getting around was very convenient. The hotel offers shuttle service, and the bus stop is convenient for everywhere... My favorite part of the place is the four guest rooms in the courtyard. Next time, I'll book a room with some friends. It's beautiful even for us, and there's even a mahjong machine. The room was clean, the service was satisfactory, and the location was excellent as the starting point for the pilgrimage. After breakfast at 7 o'clock in the morning, I set off for Wuye Temple. It was very convenient to take the bus diagonally opposite. I got off in the central area to go to Wuye Temple. After the worship, the front desk took the initiative to bring hot tea. It was really considerate and thoughtful service!

It takes 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to Guanghua Temple, and about 12 minutes to walk to Wuye Temple. It is recommended to take a bus, and then take one stop to Shuxiang Temple. Due to snow, Dailuo Peak needs to be climbed up, and there is no cable car. The room space is OK, various equipment is relatively old, and disposable items are fully equipped. The room is warm.

This is our first time visiting Wutaishan and we stayed here for 5 nights. We came here by a direct bus from Beijing and the hotel picked us from the bus terminal in Wutaishan. The hotel driver was helpful and polite. We were greeted by 2 pleasant front desk ladies upon check in. We received a beads bracket gift and welcome fruit plate . During the first day we had an issue with the air conditioning unit in our room and they changed our room the very next day. The hotel is located just off a busy street with lots of restaurants and shops. There is also a shuttle bus stop just around the corner. There are many famous temples here all within walking distance from the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the food is delicious and we had a meal served in our room. The lady boss (who we didn’t meet) provided us with information for our trip planning and helped us to book a land tour of the 5 mountains. Lastly we would like to compliment the 2 front desk staff, the 2 cleaning staff and the driver for their enthusiastic attitude and service. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The room is very large and spacious and comfortable to live in, without the cramped feeling of an ordinary hotel. The main point is the decoration, which is unique and charming, full of local Buddhist elements, and it feels like living in a palace of art. And the location is amazing, very close to Shuxiang Temple and not far from Wuye Temple. What’s even more delightful is that the boss is so nice. After eating at the vegetarian restaurant, I didn’t want to walk back to the B&B, so I called the boss and he drove back to pick me up. What a great service! I will stay in this B&B again next time I go to Mount Wutai.

Just down the road are Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Luohou Temple, Wuye Temple, Shuxiang Temple, Dawenshu Temple, and Dailuo Peak. Walking along the straight path without detours, you can complete the tour in a morning. I took a leisurely walk, exploring the area and spent a whole day there. The experience was fantastic. 🏠Environment: The courtyard is full of Zen charm, with a breathtaking view at every step. The owner's meticulous attention to detail is evident in every detail. The night lights stay on late, and the automatic sensors on the lights ensure a comfortable night out. The indoor tea room has a very pleasant atmosphere and a reassuring altar, which makes you feel very safe. ❤️Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, odorless, and full of Zen charm. Even though the ice on the mountain hadn't melted in early April, the temperature outside was below zero at night, but the room had underfloor heating, so I didn't feel cold. I was staying alone, and the owner was concerned that I might be cold, so he thoughtfully provided an electric heater, which was very comfortable. The bathroom had disposable toilet seats and other supplies. Although I brought my own disposable toiletry, I barely used them, hahaha. 👧Service: The owner was always available from the moment I booked the hotel until I got home. It felt so safe! He arranged transportation from the high-speed rail to the B&B, routes to scenic spots, and even my impromptu sunrise trip—all within minutes with just a few phone calls. Best of all, the driver actually gets a discount if you mention him! 🪙! I saved a ton of money over the course of several trips! 💰 Also, the owner's complimentary breakfast, made by his wife every morning, was incredibly satisfying. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Addendum: I'd like to express my gratitude with five flowers 💐. 🙏🙏🙏. The owner is a Buddhist and very kind. I missed my high-speed train on the first day due to personal reasons 🚄. Around 2:30 PM that day, I contacted the owner to move my hotel stay back one day. The owner proactively offered to waive the lost room fee for the first day, and even after I said I could pay as usual, he didn't charge. He also didn't charge for the pot lid I accidentally broke during my stay. He even arranged transportation when we couldn't get a taxi within the scenic area. Furthermore, he never tires of the back-and-forth communication regarding itinerary changes, and was incredibly patient in helping me coordinate. The owner said that everyone staying here is his family, and he's responsible for everyone's safety. So, when he sent me a WeChat message estimating my arrival time, I felt even more confident that such a sincere and kind person is truly trustworthy. I sincerely recommend this B&B to everyone; you're guaranteed a truly comfortable and wonderful experience here. ❤️
