Hotels in Sixi Yancun (North Route), Wuyuan

We arrived in Wuyuan on April 3rd only to find out that the rapeseed flowers had already fallen. At first, we thought our trip had ended before it even started. Fortunately, a young lady at the hotel went out of her way to help us find a solution. Following her advice, instead of going to the popular Huangling village, we chose the northern route, where several villages on the hills, likely due to the cooler climate, still had the flowers in full bloom and the fields were vibrant with bright yellow. Had we not stayed here, we would have returned home disappointed. Another impressive aspect was the food, which was delicious at every meal. Honestly, the Chinese food at other stops on our trip wasn't to our liking, but here it was exceptional. We didn’t even need to specify the menu items; the hotel simply asked what we could eat, such as chicken, pork, beef, etc., and then prepared various dishes accordingly. This approach is quite convenient, allowing us to enjoy great meals without any hassle.

I collected an accommodation after watching a video on the Internet many years ago. A foreigner married a local woman from Wuyuan and bought a century-old Qing Dynasty house here, converted it into a famous inn. I have always wanted to come here for a leisure trip, so I chose this one. There was no price increase during the National Day, just over 600 yuan, the store is located in Yancun Scenic Area, Sixi, Wuyuan. The ticket to the scenic area is 50 yuan, and the butler of the B&B helps to buy tickets for 30 yuan. The B&B is located in Yancun, which is much quieter than Sixi Village (I later found out that the ticket gate will be closed after dark, but you will have to scan your face to check your tickets when you go out or come in during the day). The butler of the B&B is very nice and runs this store alone. The owners are all in the newly opened one. The breakfast at the B&B is 50 yuan per person and dinner is 90 yuan per person, or you can order dishes yourself. The prices of the dishes are much higher than outside. I asked and it was the foreign owner's pricing. The style of the B&B is what I like! I love this fusion feeling so much! However, the wood smell on the first floor is still quite strong! Fortunately, the central air conditioning has strong wind power! There is no TV in the room, but there is a TV in the public area on the top floor. It's fun to watch talk shows with friends in the evening! The stay was very comfortable. Sometimes I need such a slow pace of life. I will come again next time.

Facilities: The B&B has three courtyards. The guest rooms are in the Mingxun Hall, which has been restored to its original state. Opposite the Mingxun Hall is a restaurant with a small courtyard. The “light luxury room” has everything a four-star hotel should have. The facilities are a bit old, but comfort is absolutely guaranteed! ! (It has a beautiful and comfortable nostalgic feeling) Hygiene: You can see that the wooden walls, floors, and ceilings have been carefully cleaned and maintained, and the guest rooms and activity spaces are very clean Environment: I think if you don’t stay here (or other similar B&Bs), there is no need to come to Xisi Yan Village Yan Village is very quiet, with large vegetable fields, and it is not the season for rapeseed flowers to bloom. Service: Excellent! ! ! I created a housekeeper group two days before checking in, confirmed the pick-up time and location in advance, and looked at the menu. After checking in, the lady at the front desk quickly carried our suitcases to our room on the second floor (great!), allowing us to focus on marveling at the environment of Mingxun Hall. In the evening, you can sit by the fire and eat roasted sweet potatoes in the restaurant, with your dog Huahua sitting by your side. We were so excited that we left our things in the restaurant, and the lady directly sent them back to our room. The store manager was also very nice. He introduced many stories about the B&B architecture and helped us plan our itinerary. I was so blindly confident that I walked around without checking the navigation, but was successfully called back by the store manager and the young lady (tears in my eyes). Anyway, I finally arrived at Xisi Village happily and also went to the recommended Zhang Village. It was an amazing experience! The room I stayed in back then was called Shanzeyou. When I came here this time, I happened to see the handsome guy at the front desk cleaning up. I took a peek and saw that the happy look back then seemed to be right in front of me. I have always kept it in my heart. When I get older, I realize that returning is too extravagant an ideal. It requires courage and financial strength, but the ideal is still there and I will keep working hard for it. The country house is very suitable for fast-paced migrant workers to take a vacation and relax. The boss is super enthusiastic and the aunts are great at cooking. The bathroom supplies are very good. Some rooms have bathtubs. Taking a bath at night is really not too comfortable. Come and visit the boss We can help you book a taxi to go to various scenic spots. Wuyuan is not big, so it is convenient to go anywhere. You can come and take a stroll when you have time. The rhythm of the countryside is really healing. It's a pity that workers' holidays are always in a hurry. This time I didn't catch up with everyone to warm up the stove and make glutinous rice cakes. I hope I can stay for a longer time next time and enjoy the slow and comfortable life~

I accidentally brushed this homestay and decisively retired the room of more than 2,000 nights in Huangling. The picturesque, simple and elegant, and convenient transportation. The boss Jin is warm and hospitable, and the service is meticulous. The key is that the entire Sixiyan Village newspaper Jin Zong name does not need to buy tickets and is unimpeded. Our stay was nice. There are a lot of things to do nearby by taxi. The staff was very helpful to organise taxis and visits. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Food for lunch or dinner was good, but we would recommend to stick to Chinese options, western desserts are not worth it.

We had the best time in this stay, the lady was so kind to us that we feel like we had no way to give back the attention and care she provide for us during our stay. The location of this house is perfect, providing amazing views of the city river and fields around. We had breakfast and lunch which the aunt cooked beautifully and was some of the best food we had in China so far! The room was very artsy, comfortable with nice linens and towels, good water temperature and pressure, and you could see there was a lot of attention to detail. We had a problem with our taxi driver not being able to receive our payment due to international card restrictions and the lady was so kind to help us without asking for anything in return, we will never forget. Also she spoke a little English which is very helpful!! We hope to come again and stay for longer. 💗🙏

Originally planned to live in Yancun B&B. When I arrived at the scene, I found that there were too many students sketching. Too noisy. I temporarily changed to this one in Xichong Village (formerly Shanju). This homestay is so beautiful (typical binary courtyard) the beautiful boss is very beautiful. People are also very enthusiastic. The service is quite thoughtful. There is a large garden in the front yard. Very beautiful! Fishing, drinking tea, swinging under the banana tree... The quaint natural ancient house exudes the mysterious Hui style and rich folk customs. It is a good place to experience the original ecological life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Unfortunately, the time arrangement is very tight this time. I left in a hurry for one night, and I couldn't calm down to enjoy it. A super satisfying trip to Wuyuan, there are too many ancient villages, rafting and water parks around. Recommended for self-driving or chartered cars. My favorite is the small train in Yantian Scenic Area, Feifengxia Swimming Cave, the constant temperature water park in Yunvzhou, and various exquisite wooden sculptures. Because there are intimate homestay couples and housekeepers, it is very comfortable to play outside when the weather is hot. When I went home, dinner was always ready and the room was cleaned.

The first time I came, I was moved by the details of the homestay! Open the window to see the rice fields and distant mountains. In the morning, you can hear the sound of birds awakening naturally. The room is super warm, the linen bedding is with a faint fragrance of sunshine, and the landlord’s aunt also specially prepared homemade osmanthus nectar and seasonal fruits. There is a super beautiful glass tea room in the public area. In the evening, I have tea and chat with other guests. I highly recommend it to friends who want to escape the city!
