"We had a wonderful time at the Old Locust Homestay. You can tell the owner really cares about his guests. During our stay there was some work being done in the road out front and the owner made sure to help us with our bags coming in and when we left and also offered a complementary room upgrade along with complementary imported coffee and gave us some local treats as a condolence for the issue. He always went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is newly renovated, very stylist and has great views from the third and fourth floors. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Xi’an again."

"We loved our stay at the Zhonlou Yuantuo Hotel! The hotel was very conveniently located to the Bell and Drum towers, as well as the Muslim Quarter. It’s also conveniently placed to the Zhonglou metro station, so you can get around the city with ease. The staff here are all very warm and friendly and made our stay very pleasant. The rooms were clean and modern, with some quirky features. We also had the breakfast included, which had plenty of Eastern and Western options. I would thoroughly recommend staying here during your time in Xi’an."

"The location is excellent: within walking distance of the metro station and the ancient wall, the Bell Tower can be reached on foot too if you don’t mind a little stretch. The owner is super responsive via text. Price is honestly too cheap for this location. Room is clean, spacious and comfy. Multiple convenience stores just off the elevator on ground level. The only downside is that the apartment is a little hard to find. We called the owner and he came down to take us to the room. I would recommend arriving during daytime hours for this reason. Owner is super helpful. Will definitely stay again next time I visit Xi’an."

"From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such kindness. In particular at the reception lily Z was so kind and friendly to us. Even before arriving at the hotel I was messaging them on WeChat trying to organise activities and everyone was so responsive and friendly and arranged everything amazingly. The room itself was perfect and very spacious and clean daily room service to a high-quality.  Don’t get me started on the perfect location. It was close to everything easy to walk to all of the main attractions and so beautiful at night. Would recommend and come back any time."

"What a wonderful, hospitable owner. The owner was extremely thoughtful and took really good care of all his guests. He took extra effort to prepare an early breakfast for a European family who wanted to leave early for the terracotta museum and helped them rebook the taxi when he observed that the allocated vehicle was too small for the family of 4. I enjoyed having conversations with the owner, covering anything under the sun helping to break the monotony of solo travel. The place is located in a quieter area, but surrounded by the traditional Chinese food stalls, local market, chic restaurants and bars and trendy cafes and bakeries. Clean and tidy, the big living room on the ground floor to relax or for some, a spot to some work."

"1. The room rate is worth the price of the hotel you stay at. 2. The hotel is next to the BTS. 3. Close to many shopping malls and restaurants. 4. Located in the heart of the city, very convenient for travel. 5. The hotel has a shuttle service to the airport for only 180 yuan. It's a big car. 6. The room with breakfast is inexpensive, the room is big and clean, the room size is very spacious."

"The place was really clean and nice. It had a really nice air conditioning unit with very comfortable beds. It was very quiet at night with a great location inside the walls. The service was really friendly and the cleaning lady even helped us put our clothes in a bag after laundry when we were out. My only complaint is that the swing is really loud and a little boy would always swing at 9:00AM."

"The hotel is newly renovated, nicely decorated with good artistic tastes and well located. The rooms are clean and cozy, with modern electronic equipment. There are free washing machines and dryers available, and, a gym too. Next to the reception, there is a bar and a dining area. Everything is impeccable. What's make this hotel different is their exceptional service. The front desk staff are very caring and attentive. They are accommodating and always willing to help. During our 6 nights stay, they helped us with all our requests and questions. When you are in a 5-star international hotel, the doorman would find a taxi for you. There is no doorman at this hotel, but, the staff went all the way to help us in a heavy rain. In Xi'an, with such a rain, it's difficult to get a car service, and, impossible to find one for a short distance. Two staff used their own accounts to try to reserve car a for us. And, when it failed, they grabbed umbrellas and our luggage, and accompanied us to the nearest bus stop. They waited with us in the rain until the bus arrived. One told the driver to tell us where to get off. He made sure that we would be able to pay the bus fare, and, was willing to pay for us. We went to different countries, we have stayed in 5-stars international hotels before, we never had such sincere, spontaneous help. It's the best hotel in Xi'an. Keep up the good work ! We wish you all the success, we will definitely return to see you again ! Special thanks to these two staff !"

"The hotel reception and communal areas were very clean, but the corridor leading to the rooms looked dirty and lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable. The room also didn’t match the pictures shown on Trip.com, which was a huge disappointment at first. However, the staff later improved the situation by replacing a dirty cushion, and the reception staff’s service was truly outstanding. My only criticism is the overall quality of the room."

"The hotel was good overall. The receptionist spoke English, and the room had a nice, functional design. Although my room didn’t have a window, the glass panel simulating one worked surprisingly well. The shower was also modern and convenient. The location is ideal for visiting Xi’an. However, I can’t give a perfect score because it failed in its most important function: providing rest. The walls are very thin, and each room has a large projector, which creates a lot of noise. Unfortunately, I slept very poorly. That said, for the price it’s really amazing value. If you plan to sleep late or don’t mind noise, it’s hard to beat the quality for the cost. But if restful sleep is important to you, I would avoid it."
