Coming to Xi'an for Chinese New Year, choosing the Sheraton was definitely the right call. The front desk manager gave us complimentary breakfast upon check-in, which meant we could wake up naturally and then enjoy our meal – huge thanks for that!
The breakfast spread offered a fantastic variety of Xi'an specialties: 'sauteed noodles,' sour soup dumplings, buckwheat noodles, cold noodles (liangpi), and roujiamo (Chinese hamburger)… The taste was on par with what you'd find at local restaurants, so we could try other foods outside the hotel.
The suite was perfect for a larger family, with two separate and comfortable rooms. It was also great for when relatives and friends came to visit.
The hotel's location is convenient, not far from the city center and several attractions. Taxis are easy to catch, and the Tummen area wasn't congested at all.
The service was truly five-star; every staff member was warm, welcoming, and thoughtful.
The day after we left Xi'an, it started snowing heavily. I regret not staying two more days to experience Chang'an (Xi'an) covered in snow.
