Clean and and convenient place to stay, it is located at a quiet and safe side street just few minutes walk from the terracotta warriors museum. Owners don't speak much English yet, although they are trying to learn (maybe next year they will know!). For now, simple communication using phone translation (voice and typing) is convenient. Hosts are friendly, they are husband and wife and the place is their home renovated. Feels like a homestay (with privacy as rooms are ensuite). They will provide breakfast. For lunch and dinner (paid separately but well priced) they can cook to order spicy or non spicy (your choice of food, again, order using Google translate). Taste of food is homey and tasty. Especially relaxing for stay the night just before a next morning visit to terracotta warriors museum, and return for lunch and unwinding before moving on to next part of journey. In case not rushed in time and staying for more than one night, may I suggest going to one of the Lintong District Onsens (15min by taxi), feel the history and relax by dipping in the same onsen source as Yang Guifei at Huaqing Pools - clean and have lots of outdoor pools, dry rock sauna, and rest areas, felt like having an onsen day in Japan. Can easily spend a whole day (we spent 6hrs and still wanted to spend more). Can ask owners for recommendation. We first stayed last year October when looking for accommodation near the terracotta warrior museum, booked to come back this year to relax and visit the less visited spots, hopefully next year we want to return. My son already misses the friendly cat nextdoors. Highly recommended.

Xi'an's fly in the ointment is too hot. Fortunately, the little housekeeper sent us the meal to the room to eat. The food was very delicious. We all ordered the meal here during our stay. The service was very thoughtful. The room environment was also very good. The pomegranate was full of eyes. Unfortunately, it would not be available until October. After climbing Huashan during the day and taking a bath at night, it seems that I am not so tired. The little housekeeper later helped us book the legendary performance tickets for the camel bell, called us a car, sent us to the show, the performance was very beautiful, the location for us was great, and the water was dripping down the middle, a big surprise (scared), haha, great!

Environment: Close to the Terracotta Warriors, within walking distance, and with various local restaurants nearby, making dining convenient. Service: The owner contacted me in advance and explained the situation clearly. The courtyard was quiet, suitable for resting. However, the rooms are a bit cramped, which might be inconvenient if you're using a laptop for work. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was acceptable, but the water temperature in the bathroom kept fluctuating, sometimes cold and sometimes hot, requiring a wait.

RRahabAKMy stay was excellent from start to finish, and the service was outstanding. I would especially like to thank Anna at the front desk for her professionalism, kindness, and constant support throughout my stay. She even gave me a gift before I left. I would also like to thank Han for helping me with my luggage — he was very helpful and polite. Every day, Anna kindly reminded me that sweet soup and milk were available and delivered them to my room. The hotel location is great, very convenient, and easy to access. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Xi’an ☺️

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

XXiaoqiyaWe stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

MM895858****Booking this hotel for my trip to Xi'an was an absolute pleasant surprise, exceeding all my expectations! I had reserved a room with a window facing the hallway, but the lovely lady at the front desk not only upgraded my room type but also included breakfast vouchers. The hotel is super close to both the Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter. On our very first night, staff even came to our room with a late-night snack! The breakfast spread also had a fantastic variety. My only regret is that out of our three-day stay, I only managed to eat breakfast once.

GGuest UserGreat room and beds, perfect for 3 adults. Breakfast was small but flavorful, and the front desk has free tea for guests. Service was great! Only qualm was that there was a pretty strong smoke smell in the corridors and room.

詠詠許The moment we stepped out of the elevator, a delightful aroma greeted us, leading us into the elegant lobby on the 16th floor. The decor here is tasteful and the atmosphere refined. Several friendly and professional front desk ladies provided excellent service during our check-in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped with all kinds of amenities and toiletries. The bed was wonderfully soft, ensuring a deep and restful sleep. Even the bathtub water temperature was just right, making bath time especially enjoyable. The hotel's location is near the Drum Tower, with a variety of restaurants in the vicinity. This is our top choice for a trip to Xi'an, and we will definitely return to this warm and wonderful place in the future! Every penny spent was worth it – the lavish breakfast, exquisite afternoon tea and late-night snacks, and the memorable red wine at the rooftop bar! I truly wish we had booked a few more nights! Many thanks to all the lovely ladies and gentlemen for their warm hospitality! 🌹

SSherly-xueliComfortable and newly renovated, this hotel boasts perfect facilities and warm, attentive service. The room was meticulously clean, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, providing a truly relaxing sleep. The natural light and ventilation were excellent, and all amenities were well-maintained and functioned smoothly. Even the bathroom toiletries felt high-quality. I especially enjoyed the afternoon tea and the late-night noodle soup. A special shout-out to Aunt Guo Meizi, who prepared the late-night noodles – she made me feel right at home, it was so heartwarming. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with hot dishes, pastries, and drinks all available and delicious. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The area is exceptionally quiet at night. Overall, the value for money is outstanding, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I've already added this to my favorites and will definitely choose it again next time. Highly recommended to all my friends!

Very Good
SShoumiaoWe are five big men staying in, very comfortable, this is the homestay in the community, the decoration is very good, the surrounding is quiet, the facilities are complete, the floor heating is very warm, the windows are not cold, the fresh air conditioning is not wrong, the community management is very strict, surrounded by Wanda and two snack streets! Everything is eaten, but it is too comfortable to eat in the room. We deliberately packed it back for two nights. After eating, we played mahjong and poker... We didn’t want to go out to play; the surrounding traffic is very convenient, just a few steps away is the subway station; There are two bedrooms that are a small suite, one with a private bathroom, and two with a bathroom. The three bathrooms are really enough. In short, the big flat floor is really comfortable.
