Xiamen Bashi Keting homestay Reviews

This is a hidden gem in Xiamen. The hotel was located inside fish market. So when we went in through the market, the environment was wet, fishy smell and noisy. But when we go in by the hotel door. It was a world different. The hotel lobby was very tranquil, neat, interior beautiful and smell of aromatic. The room was spacious and neat. The toilet was impressive. In my opinion in you don't mind walking through the fish market (only 10 meters walk). Then this hotel is very highly recommended.

This homestay is well located n it has everything you need within hand reached, the owner was very helpful and welcome, the room was very clean and well equipped, will definitely come back to this homestay again. You won’t regret if you booked this homestay.

1. Location: Incredibly convenient! It's right next to Bashi (the Eighth Market) in the old town. A vegetable market, seafood market, Ajie Wuxiang, and Ajizai Laodian are all within easy walking distance. Zhongshan Road is also less than a 10-minute walk away, which is super handy. 2. Environment: Although situated within the seafood market, it's surprisingly peaceful – a quiet oasis. It's very quiet and not noisy at all. 3. Service: The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. They shared a lot of information, even adding us to a group chat beforehand to recommend reliable local eateries (so we wouldn't pick a dud!) and provide various helpful tips. The complimentary snacks were also delicious. 4. Facilities: The room layout was excellent and quite spacious. The bathroom featured a thoughtful wet/dry separation, with the toilet and shower areas completely separate, ensuring no interference. The washbasin area was conveniently located in the middle, making for a very practical design.

This guesthouse truly feels like a home away from home. I've been coming here for years, experiencing my journey from being single to having a baby. I visit Xiamen annually, and I always make sure to stay here, with each visit revealing more charming details to appreciate. The surrounding area boasts numerous dining options that cater perfectly to our palate. It's also incredibly convenient for families with children, as they provide sand-digging tools for toddlers and even strollers for free use. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, making our stay incredibly comfortable and easy. Most importantly, the two wonderful female owners are incredibly warm, friendly, and a delight to converse with!

The rooms are spacious and tidy. The staff and nice and helpful. Good location with good food and shops for shopping. It’s a nice place to experience the old neighbourhood in Xiamen.

We had a fantastic stay there. The room is clean and modern. The environment is really nice and it is a easy walk to the main touristy area.

Facilities: Complete with everything you need. Cleanliness: Very comfortable, clean, and tidy. Environment: Overall, it felt very relaxing. Service: The staff was very welcoming and provided a welcome gift. Gulangyu Round Trip + Gulangyu Guided Tour Adult Ticket - Regular Boat - Gulangyu Round Trip + Guided Tour - Not Available on the Same Day: Don't buy the guide-recommended attractions on Gulangyu Island; they're not fun and are expensive. This is just for the Gulangyu ferry ticket; it's better to buy a combined ticket from the official website. Don't know why I know this.

This B&B is great. We're from Kinmen and don't have a mainland China number, so we couldn't call to ask for anything. The hostess was very helpful in clarifying things for us. The room was spacious and comfortable. They even asked our arrival time and turned on the air conditioning for us. The bathroom was also large and well-spaced. There's a shared area on the first floor with an electric mahjong table and washing machine, but unfortunately, we didn't use it this time because we had children with us. Our room even had a place to dry clothes and towels. The in-room hair dryer was a Xiaomi, which was very useful! The only drawback is that the entrance is through the fish market, and the alley is a bit narrow, but it's clearly indicated from the beginning, so we're fine. The signs are clear, so finding the place was a breeze! One suggestion: I hope the refrigerator in the large room could be upgraded to a medium-sized one, otherwise it wouldn't keep drinks cold with so many people. 🤣 I would definitely book this B&B again if I were to go again! I've stayed in many B&Bs and hotels, but this is one of the few I'm willing to review. I brought my parents to Xiamen for a few days and was delighted to stay here. Although located next to the market, it was incredibly quiet. I was worried about noise during sleep, but there wasn't a single noise. There are courtyards on the first and third floors for relaxation, and the hotel provides a complete range of daily necessities. The hostess and staff were very welcoming and helpful, sharing local delicacies. I got scratched by an oyster shell while playing at the beach, and the B&B provided disinfectant and bandages. It was a very comfortable stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. My parents were also very satisfied. 👍 We were in a rush, so I didn't take many photos. It was a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. I'll definitely book here again next time I visit, and I'll share it with my friends visiting Xiamen. I wish this B&B will continue to do well. (P.S.: Picture 2 shows a snack recommended by the B&B; it's very close, and the shacha noodles are delicious. Picture 3 shows the September 3rd military parade I watched from my room while traveling.)

The bed and breakfast is in an excellent location, right in the eight cities, where you live, there is always something to eat, although you must go through the fishing market, but the shop is clean and hygienic, the aromatherapy of the bed and breakfast is also very good

The rooms are comfortable and the price is affordable. If you have a large group, you can rent a few rooms. There is a vegetable market next door and you can cook there.
