There are six municipal districts in Xiamen. Siming and Huli are the central districts. Huli District is located in the northern part of Xiamen Island. Siming District is composed of the south part of Xiamen Island and Gulangyu Island, which is the main destination for travelers. The other districts of Jimei District, Haicang District, Tong'an District and Xiang'an District form Xiamen’s suburbs.
