We met friends for luncheon. The area is an amazing place overlooking the sea, brillant attentive staff and great tasting delicious food. I ordered the tuna salad which was made with fresh and crisp ingredients and a generous helping of tuna on top. My wife had the buddha bowl, consisting of a variety of salad items, walnuts, fresh cut chicken *****s and feta. Our friend ordered the brie and it was again presented with fresh crisp rocket and a large breadcrumb warm melted brie with a cranberry sauce. We would eat here again, really lovely views beside the sea.

I use Google translation. I am french. The location of the building is perfect. The landscape is pretty, there are nice walks to do around. It is quiet. there is what you need to eat there. The bus station is very close and easy to use. The rooms are spacious and well organized. Everything is clean. Perfect maintenance. The staff is smiling. I really liked the Easter gift. A big thank-you. I recommend this hotel without problem.

I do not feel comfortable to review St Patrick's Hotel as the general Manager Josiah was a school colleague and have known him for a very long time. he is the kind of person that would do his atmost to please. We have recently spent a night at the hotel with an other couple and I must admit that we were extremely satisfied with the all but due to my relation to Josiah I could be biased. So in my case I would just say that during my stay I have met plenty of regulars, some of which consider the place as their 'Gozo' home. Thus I have to say that the hotel is good, nice, well located, with helpful staff.

Slept well first night despite lumpy pillows. Surprising attitude re dinner given we were only b&b so could eat anywhere. We ate circa 9pm, told they were closed at 10pm. Felt rushed out, We will eat elsewhere now other than our inc breakfast at which real butter would be good

The condition of the hotel, while aged and not up to typical 4-star standards, is something I can overlook. However, the cleanliness of the room is unacceptable. We had two rooms booked, 409 and 413. Now, the first red flag was when upon our arrival 2 ladies dropped at reception to mention they will be leaving the hotel since the room is dirty and not the standard they had paid for. The Housekeeping staff, what are they getting paid for?The attached photos clearly show the room was not properly serviced, and we encountered additional issues like a malfunctioning television and expired milk capsules. Now, I have came down at reception to address this issue and give you guys a chance for a clean slate, however, I was very disappointed with how poor the receptionist handled the situation. I have provided the photos taken of the state of the room as proof , and all the receptionist could do is apologise and say “maybe they were busy”. In fairness to him, he mentioned he will take some time to look for another room. Now, we went up, and another gentleman comes knocking at the door. He came to take a look at the issues I have addressed earlier on. Now, he went away and came back with a jug of milk, which I appreciated it, and he also offered to change our bed sheets. That’s the least you could do after all the above issues we had? Change the room? That’s not satisfactory at all, especially when the receptionist never got back to me to inform me about the possible room change. On top of that, I've also attached photos of subpar breakfast food with hair in in it which is disgusting. Breakfast was bellow average. The view and the location of this hotel is the main reason why is still holding up. I have seen several responses on tripadvisor to negative reviews from the general manager trying to twist the guest complains shaping them in a form to reason out why these things are happening etc. I have a strong track record working in hospitality and hotel industry myself, and I do have expectations from a hotel that is labelled as “4 stars”

Very dated, but quirky & clean. Breakfast is what you’d expect, bacon eggs sausage etc as well as continental choices. The staff are lovely especially the tiny lady who works in bar area from Georgia who kindly opened some wine for me as I didn’t have a cork screw on several occasions & the gentleman who often worked with her on an evening and always took the time to greet me. We ate here one lunch time and it was delicious seafood pasta! We chose a valley room and it was very spacious, my only slight complaint is the shower does get very hot and it’s difficult to adjust the temperature when your inside so water does get everywhere as it’s just a shower curtain around, also the hairdryer is from the 70/80s so takes some to dry your hair! The balcony was lovely for people watching on an evening and we were lucky to see the fireworks while we were there. The pool is tiny and found most of the loungers were broken but the view is stunning when your up on the roof I think some attention could be made here for some kind of drink service for the future. Still I’m easily pleased & I would return.

Our visit covered Nov and Dec '23. Not too many people in Hotel at this time but room was clean and well kept by staff. Breakfast was more than adequate with staff extremely helpful. Our stay overall was very pleasant, and we could not fault any part of it. Location, although going on winter, was still interesting but summer time is excellent as our previous visits here have shown. Overall this is a hotel. and location, that is well worth a stay, and is excellent value for money. John and Patricia, Peterborough, Cambs.

We stayed at St Patricks on the strength of the hotel being described as 4* and the beautiful view over Xlendi Bay. To be fair, the bay wasn’t at all busy when we went, the water was clear and warm and there were still boats and kayaks to hire and the scuba school was open. There are plenty of restaurants actually on the bay and the food was great (tasty and huge portions), people were lovely and the lack of a beach wasn’t a problem as there’s easy access to the water. Just be aware that Xlendi and Gozo in general are building sites, if you go expecting old world charm you will be disappointed. Now…St Patricks may well have been a 4* hotel 30 years ago but it certainly isn’t any more. It could be restored to its former glory but as it stands, it’s tired and, to be honest, neglected and actually dirty in some areas. At the start of our second week I noticed dirty and stained table cloths at breakfast and at the end of our stay, they were still there in exactly the same position. The balcony glass doors were dirty on arrival and were never cleaned during our stay. All of the sun loungers on the roof are worn and the majority of the plants appeared dead. Also, there was a regular smell of drains even on the roof terrace. The toilet up there was disgusting the day my partner went to use it, so much so that he didn’t bother and went down to our room. I could go on but the pictures should tell you all you need to know. Yes, it’s handy for the bay but there are other places there that we’d look at if we were to go back, but no, we wouldn’t stay at St Patricks again. I’ve added photographs of our room
