Staying in Atour's comfortable twin room this time was an amazing experience, definitely a full five stars! I have to emphasize again and again that you can always trust the quality of Atour Group. There is an indoor swimming pool and the service staff is kind and friendly. The hotel is more than 20 years old, and the facilities are a bit old, such as the sliding doors and windows are not easy to close, the carpets are very old, and the sound of people talking and running outside before going to bed is not very soundproof... The hotel staff all had excellent service attitudes. However, what I really need to complain about are the hotel room slippers – their quality is terrible, and they're not non-slip. On the night of November 17th, the day I checked in, I unfortunately slipped in the room's living area and hit the bathtub! For a moment, I completely lost my hearing! It took me a long time to get back up! Concerned about a possible bone injury, I requested the hotel to send someone to accompany me to the emergency room. The CT results showed no internal injuries, just contusions, and advised rest. This accident happened on a Monday night. By Wednesday, I started feeling unwell; I could barely walk normally, and my ribs below the right side of my chest felt like they were constantly shifting. I endured it until Thursday afternoon, when I returned from Xuzhou to my hometown, Jiangyin. My husband met me at the Jiangyin high-speed train station with a wheelchair, and we went directly to a traditional Chinese medicine hospital for a specialist appointment. The doctor immediately suspected a rib fracture, so another CT scan was done, focusing on the rib area. The CT results confirmed two fractured ribs. It's been almost three weeks since the accident, and I still haven't fully recovered. I strongly recommend that the hotel replace the current disposable slippers! I booked two rooms, and my brother and his classmate stayed in the other. Both of them nearly slipped because of the slippers and were complaining about them not being non-slip. I also want to complain that the hotel's bathtub shouldn't be installed outside the bathroom; it's just too prone to accidents.
