Yangshuo Mountain Retreat

This beautiful hotel lives up to its reputation. The location is simply wonderful, close to the river and surrounded by the mountains, the lush green garden is the best place to relax in a busy Yangshuo. Lots to do around here but just sitting in the garden or on the balcony is beautiful enough. All the staff is incredibly helpful and genuinely kind- and everyone seems to be fluent in english. I thought I would miss not having a pool but honestly I think the peacefulness of this place might be spoiled by it. A true gem.

Our favorite hotel in Yangshou! It’s located in the center of 10 mile gallery along Yulong river. We can see the river and mountains from our room. The room is very clean and beautiful, staff members are friendly and helpful. The food are great, and we did not go anywhere to have means but in the hotel. Can’t wait to go back when we visit Yangshuo next time.

I had an amazing time at Mountain Retreat and I'm extremely grateful for my stay there. The hotel's location is one-of-a-kind. It's the only hotel in the Yangshuo area that is so close to the river. I loved sitting on the terrace, sipping my coffee and fruit tea, while watching tourists float by on bamboo rafts. The view of the Yangshuo hills from the river promenade was absolutely stunning. The staff at Mountain Retreat were fantastic, especially Kate and the other ladies at the reception. They made me feel very welcome and took great care of me. The breakfast options at the hotel were some of the best in Yangshuo. I enjoyed yogurt with fruits, pancakes, and Guilin noodles. It was a delicious start to my day. I also appreciated the hotel's commitment to nature. They used cloth napkins instead of paper tissues and refillable glass water bottles instead of plastic ones. It's nice to see a place that cares about the environment. I'm already excited to go back to Mountain Retreat in September. Yangshuo is a truly magical place in nature, and this hotel captures its beauty perfectly. If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend staying at Mountain Retreat.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak English which makes things very easy for foreign tourists. The food is excellent, rooms comfortable and clean. The location is excellent. Only downside is no pool for the summer but it didn’t bother us. There is a large grassy area for the kids to safely run around and free bikes to borrow to explore. Highly recommend.

Always my favorite accomodation! Top 1 When I discovered how good the price was during the new year holiday, I booked immediately and our trip was planned around our stay here. Although we stayed at the rearview double bedroom it was still with great view. We were at the third floor this time. Room 304. I still wish to have pizza and beer every night. 😂😂😂 but why did the kitchen close at 8:30? 😭 Anyway, we really loved staying here because this time we stayed for 4 nights! The staff was very accomodating and we felt like family. They helped us book tickets for Impression Liu Sanjie and the Ruyi Peak. They also coordinated our scooters and car pick up. If you have a lot to spare it's definitely worth spending your money here. It's so nice when they remind you to wear more clothes because the weather is cold. Or you might've ordered too much food. I thought this would be the last time we visit the hotel but We might visit again next year.
