My husband and I went for an anniversary dinner and we had an amazing evening. The staff on arrival were very friendly and showed us to our table in the window which I had requested The food, wine and cocktails were superb couldn't fault a single thing. At the end of the night we were brought a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate with dipped chocolate strawberries and truffles what a lovely gesture. We will be back!

Just had Sunday lunch food it was delicious! Staff very friendly and excellent service . Head waiter Martin was attentive and made our lunch feel extra special. Beautiful location

Visited for Afternoon tea. Explained we had not been before and the gentleman at the front door was helpful showing us where to go. Martin looked after us and was friendly and polite. Also found Shara very helpful! The venue overall is lovely and has a very nice feel about it. It is expensive but worth it and would visit again. Looking forward to trying the Sunday Lunch. Overall the Afternoon tea was nice the scones are not the greatest and had to ask for butter but everything else was really nice. Thank you to all the team look forward to visiting again

Visited the farmers market which was good and called in the hotel for a coffee and cake. Friendly staff but very disappointing standard of food. Order on entry, nothing on display and no indication that it's all in takeaway trays. Room was clean but definitely 1970s office furniture. Coffee was hot and tasty but scones were questionable. Small, dry and despite being sold as butter it was obviously cheap alternative. For £16 I'd have expected better at this place.

We arranged to visit as there was a small Sunday Farmers market in the grounds, there were about 10 -12 stalls selling a variety of local produce including strawberries, bread, jam, honey, cheese, nougat and various meats. There were a lot of visitors and by the time we got there around 12:30 most of the stalls had sold out of the most popular items. To complete the day we booked a Sunday lunch at the hotel restaurant, but were a bit early so we sat outside in the grounds enjoying the good weather. As normal the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we even got served our meal by the new General Manager which was a first. Two of us had the Wensleydale soufflé to start with which to die for it was so good, we then had beef and lamb main courses which were really tender and very filling although we just had room for desert. Overall a great visit next time we will try and get there early so there is more choice at the Farmers Market and maybe stay overnight

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea on 21st August at Crathorne Hall Hotel, stunning grounds . The food was fresh and very tasty, an assortment of sandwiches , scones and cakes, a variety of tastes. There was plenty of tea or coffee, the service was fantastic , all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble , we took along my 3 month old granddaughter, and they were all lovely with her . We are going to book again for a date just before Christmas, can't wait to see the hotel then . The hotel is a luxury hotel with a friendly family feel because of the staff

My husband and I wanted to go somewhere different for breakfast rather than the usual spots on Yarm High Street. Well what can I say but wow! A beautiful mansion house with stunning surroundings, even better with the sun shining so we could sit on the terrace. We were slightly away from the usual restaurant setting, but we weren’t forgotten, Martin and Gloria looked after us wonderfully and thought about every little detail. The menu was something else, with imaginative twists to some classic dishes which I’ve never seen elsewhere, making it difficult to choose, so we very much welcomed Martin’s recommendations. Beautiful to look at and packed full of flavour, the food was phenomenal. Uttapam with the coconut chutney being my personal fave, I nearly asked them to bottle up some chutney to take home it was that good! My husband and I both agreed we could have sat there all day, relaxing and enjoying a charcuterie board and wine later in the day. Maybe next time! Thank you Crathorne Hall for being our new favourite breakfast destination!
