Royal Tulip Taj Sultan

I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Tulip Taj Sultan. The rooms were excellent, spacious, and recently renovated.The staff were extremely kind and helpful, always ready with a smile. The location is also perfect, right by the sea. I would definitely recommend this hotel !

This is not a 5 star hotel. Its hard to give an overall rating so here are my comments. I wanted somewhere with a nice pool and a nice room for a reasonable price-I definitely got that. So for that it was perfect but it does depend on what you pay. The room was spacious and I had a nice view over the pool and the ocean albeit the terrace only had sun in the morning. The pool was nearly empty all day which was perfect-the water wasnt that warm but on a nice sunny day it was refreshing and the pool chairs were comfy. The pool towels were a scarce commodity so I kept mine each night so I didnt have to spend alot of time looking for new ones. Staff-all very pleasant and helpful other than I was told to keep my receipt for exchanging money so I could change it back at the airport-this is not true-you have to convert at a bank to be able to do this-whilst I didnt have alot left over and managed to get someone to help me this was really annoying. The hotel car is expensive and wasnt really professional-I booked one via booking on the way back and it was alot cheaper-although he still drove well over the speed limit whilst using his phone most of the way. Breakfast-was plentiful but very average-I found something I could eat but had the same each day-an omelette and yogurt. The other hot dishes were drowned in oil and I didnt even try them for that reason. The fruit juice station was always a mess. I hope that someone was force fed the left overs because there were alot each day. It would be so easy to make it so much better. I looked at the buffet one evening but it was stupidly expensive and didnt look much better than breakfast so I didnt even try it. the location is not great-there is a small store nearby but for most restaurants its at least a 15-20 min walk-probably something I could have predicted but none-the-less it was a shame. Taxis not very cheap in my mind esp for tunisia. that is not the hotels fault its just for anyone else reading this. It was off season so I suspect a few places that may have been busy in the summer were either closed or very empty. My room had some problems and I did report them and they did try to fix them but ultimately the aircon really never got to the desired temperature and the sink was blocked and when they simply removed the plug the smell at times was foul. A few nice touches by the cleaning staff and the room was clean Overall could easily reach a 4 in my book with a few small adjustments that would not cost them any money. If I wanted the same type of holiday again I would consider for the right price but will probably look for something else

I’ve been coming to the Royal Tulip Taj Sultan for over 20 years now, and it’s always the same amazing feeling. Every stay is full of great moments and unforgettable memories. The staff are truly wonderful — always kind, smiling, and attentive. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is perfect, and the rooms are always spotless. It’s a place where I feel good, almost like home. Thank you to the whole team for all these years of quality, care, and warmth. I’ll keep coming back, always.

ery disappointed with my stay at this hotel The room we received was not as described and looked nothing like the photos provided online. The facilities are poorly maintained the cleanliness is below acceptable standards, and the service was not attentive or professional. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers
