But the biggest surprise during our stay was discovering what an exceptional cook she is! Apparently, she has a large vegetable garden, so all the chili peppers and Chinese cabbage were home-grown. We tried her cured pork hock, which she sourced from local farmers who feed their pigs their own grains – it was incredibly nutritious and healthy. The dried radish was also homemade; she mentioned having so many radishes that she decided to make them herself. It was truly delicious!
