This guesthouse boasts an amazing location and design! Nestled amidst a bamboo forest, the environment is peaceful, the air is fresh, and it's incredibly comfortable. Plus, it's super pet-friendly, allowing us to bring our little furry friends along! We booked a sunrise-view courtyard for 4 nights, but sadly, we overslept every morning and missed the beautiful sunrise! The courtyard is built along the riverside, offering stunning mountain views from the small balcony. You can also go fishing or watch other guests kayaking (a complimentary activity provided by the guesthouse), so there's plenty to do! The guesthouse is also very close to nearby attractions. We visited Dongtian Fairyland and Tuofengshan Inn, and even enjoyed an exhilarating and thrilling rafting experience! The guesthouse's herbal chicken pot was absolutely delicious, even better than those at local farmhouses! The housekeeper was very warm and the service was thoughtful. When we checked out, they even gave us fresh bamboo shoots (sweet and tender) and Yingde's famous Yinghong No. 9 tea as a parting gift. We left with our hands full!

The details of this homestay are incredibly photogenic. Fresh bamboo shoots, still encased in their husks, stand next to sturdy old bamboo, creating a striking contrast between new and old that looks especially vibrant when photographed from a low angle. The bamboo woven pendant lamps inside the wooden cabin are also very textured; the spherical bamboo shade allows warm light to filter through its mesh onto the wooden wall panels, creating rich layers of light and shadow. Every photo taken here looks like it belongs in a forest-themed magazine. The overall design is perfectly integrated with the surrounding bamboo forest, showcasing excellent aesthetics.

Staying in this tented courtyard with kids was a blast for them! The yard is spacious enough for them to run around on the wooden deck, and the private hot spring tub has a stone edge, making it quite safe. Inside the tent, it's dry and not damp, and the bedding is clean. During the day, we headed to the big lawn in front to let loose. The lawn is super open, and there's a whole bamboo forest behind it providing shade, so it's not sunny even in summer. After the kids played themselves tired, they'd come back to the courtyard for a soak and then crash, which meant the adults could relax too.

I stayed here for one night before heading to Meiziping, and I randomly found this place, but it was quite a letdown compared to my expectations. The tent interior felt like a refugee camp. The bathroom was tiny and didn't look very clean. I'd suggest the owner change the lighting inside the tent; it was just a single white bulb at night, completely devoid of any ambiance. I rarely write reviews, but this stay was so far from what I expected. On my way back, I looked at the seller's photos again and realized they didn't show full panoramic views of the tent or the individual bathroom, only close-ups. Live and learn, I guess! The only positive thing was that the owner provided mosquito repellent in the room. I didn't take any photos, but if anyone passing by this review doesn't believe me, you're welcome to experience a night there for yourself.

The room was clean and tidy, equipped with tea sets and English Nine Red tea bags, perfect for a relaxing tea time. The staff were very responsive and provided excellent service. The breakfast was well-suited for Cantonese tastes, offering congee, steamed dim sum, and local specialty bamboo shoots!

Lovely rural getaway in the bamboo forest. A bit remote so make sure you can arrange for transport if you wish to leave the venue - otherwise, the resort itself is a calm oasis to unwind.

We stayed at this camp because of the beautiful location and the peaceful atmosphere of the first two days. But on the third day, everything collapsed. The neighbors started screaming like crazy people, setting off firecrackers, and provoking a dog to howl non-stop. Cars drove past our tent every 5 minutes. The management had told us the music would be off at 10:00 PM, but the chaos continued long after. Let me be clear: The party itself was not the problem. The problem was the absurd volume, the cars driving past our tents, and the disgusting, shameless behavior of the guests that the management failed to stop immediately. When you book a peaceful camp, you expect to sleep. Not to be woken up by a screaming mob and vehicles right next to your tent. The management here is a complete failure. They did absolutely nothing to control the chaos. They had no plan. They had no rules. They let the guests run wild, destroy the peace, and terrorize the other paying guests. They only acted when we threatened to call the police. Proactive management does not exist here. My 9-year-old daughter, who had been patient the entire trip, finally ran to reception and screamed: "I want to sleep. NOW!" because she simply could not take it anymore. I then sent a message explaining the situation and threatening to call the police. To be fair: at 10:00 PM, the noise finally stopped. The receptionist did manage to calm the neighbors down and reduce the traffic. I have to give him credit for that. But here is the problem: He only acted because we complained and threatened. Nothing was done proactively. The peaceful atmosphere we paid for should have been maintained without us having to fight for it. And then came the real insult. Instead of simply apologizing for the inconvenience, he offered us a "small gift" when we checked out, as if to buy our silence. Let me be absolutely clear: I am not for sale. My opinion is not for sale. I pay for what I book. No gift in the world will stop me from writing an honest review. Offering a gift to make someone stop complaining is not service. It is bribery. It is an insult to every guest who actually pays for a peaceful stay. By leaving this gift in our tent after I had refused it more than ten times, they proved that they truly believe every single person has a price. They assumed I would think and act like them: corrupt, greedy, and willing to sell my opinion for a few kilograms of tea. They reduced me to their own miserable level. This was not an apology. This was an insult to my character. They did not listen to me. They simply could not believe that I am not someone who can be bought. My review is no longer just a criticism of a badly run camp. It is an accusation against a mentality that believes every human being has a price. I have proven that I am not that kind of person. They will never understand what integrity means. We left this camp feeling disgusted, not because of the noise, but because of the management's belief that their guests can be bought off with a few Yuan. Do not stay here. This is not a camp. This is a lesson in disrespect.

Stepping into the Bamboo Wonderland, we were immediately impressed. The campsite is enveloped by dense bamboo, and the sunlight filtering through the leaves creates beautiful patterns of light and shadow. Each private courtyard is enclosed by a bamboo fence, offering good privacy. The tents are nestled deep within the bamboo grove. We spent our days strolling through the woods and returned to our courtyard in the evenings to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The vacation vibe is just perfect.
