Yiwu Marriott Hotel

The location was incredibly convenient, right opposite the East Commercial City in District 1! Shopping was a breeze, just a quick walk across the road. My room, located on a high floor, was wonderfully quiet. I tried the buffet, and the food was delicious – they even had all-you-can-eat crayfish! Plus, there's a mall right behind the hotel, making dining options incredibly convenient. Unfortunately, I was short on time and didn't get to experience the hotel's pool. I'll definitely be back for another stay!

The room size and layout were acceptable, but the hardware facilities were quite outdated. The bedside power outlet had a loose connection, making it impossible to charge any devices. The towels and bath towels in the room were stiff and rough, showing significant wear and tear – far from the standard expected of a five-star hotel. The bedding felt slightly damp; even when housekeeping brought fresh sets, they had the same issue. The executive lounge was spotlessly clean. However, when I visited around 11:30 AM, it was so empty that only a coffee machine remained, with no food or beverages available at all. Fortunately, the duty manager was very accommodating and kindly made me a cup of coffee. Moreover, the room service response time was quite slow. I even witnessed a cleaner in the hotel lobby, carrying a basket on their arm, picking up trash from the floor with their bare hands in a rather meticulous manner – a sight that felt quite unhygienic and unprofessional. Overall, my personal experience completely fell short of expectations. I've stayed at numerous Marriott properties across China, and this one left a particularly poor impression. I hadn't initially planned on writing a review, but Ctrip sent a reminder. So, I decided to share my genuine and objective feedback, hoping the hotel will improve its service standards and continue to get better.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just across the road from the Trade City. Breakfast offered a limited selection and was quite standard. As expected of a 5-star hotel, the facilities were generally good. The water pressure was strong, and the room was clean. A special mention goes to the disposable toothbrushes, which were surprisingly good quality. However, my only complaints were the overly soft mattress and flat pillows, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. The service was outstanding. Front desk staff Yuri and Rina, the Guest Service Manager (GSM), and a female housekeeping supervisor (whose name I regrettably forgot) were all excellent. They promptly addressed any issues, ensuring a very pleasant stay.

The location is superb! We brought our children to Yiwu to broaden their horizons and let them experience 'Yiwu, the world's market' 😏. We specifically chose the Marriott because it's genuinely within walking distance of the main consumer goods market building. The hotel restaurant offers a fantastic variety of food, perfect for everyone to enjoy a hearty meal before embarking on a shopping spree! A big thank you to the kind uncle from Hunan who came to help us add extra bedding late at night, and to the thoughtful and warm-hearted Cici ❤️. We will definitely be staying here again!

Visited Yiwu for the weekend and stayed at the Yiwu Marriott. Felix, the staff member who checked me in on Friday evening, was incredibly helpful and arranged two adjacent rooms on the same floor for me. That was really thoughtful. The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed, and the cleanliness was impeccable. While the breakfast restaurant was quite busy on the weekend, the staff did a great job helping guests find seats. On Sunday, when I requested a late check-out, Yuri at the front desk was also very accommodating. Yiwu was a great destination, and this hotel truly enhanced the experience. I will definitely choose the Marriott again on my next visit to Yiwu.
