Four Points by Sheraton Yiyang Baoji

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Bella and Stella, who even went the extra mile by delivering fruit to our room. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The room was great, but the real highlight for me was the 24-hour gym – a huge plus! Location-wise, it's also conveniently close to museums, the Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and the Science and Technology Museum. Plus, it's very near the South Train Station.

The room was clean and tidy, the lobby was bright, and the doorman was polite and welcoming.

I've always had a soft spot for Sheraton. While the brand encompasses various types of properties, it's quite impressive to have a Sheraton in Yiyang, Hunan. I chose this hotel for three reasons: 1. It's relatively new, having opened in 2022. 2. It's conveniently located near the highway. 3. There are plenty of dining options conveniently located nearby. I opted for a room facing the residential area, which ensured a quieter stay. A special commendation goes to the security guard at the entrance, a tall and well-built gentleman whose last name I believe was Ou. He was incredibly helpful and dedicated, assisting us with our luggage.

1. Poor cleanliness: I pulled back the covers to find bloodstains on the sheets. 2. Poor facilities: The air conditioning was ineffective.

The service at the Sheraton was honestly just so-so. To be fair, service at hotels in Yiyang generally isn't top-notch. However, the facilities and ambiance are arguably the best you'll find in Yiyang, though they'd be considered merely 'okay' compared to hotels in bigger cities. The hotel is quite new. It's worth noting that the suites get progressively larger on higher floors.
