Clean, tidy, comfortable. Staff very helpful. Everything is of high quality. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I’ll definitely come again.

Outstanding Experience to stay at this fantastic hotel! From the warm welcome at the door, to a friendly check in, super clean and cozy rooms with modern facilities and super comfortable beds to the Bar at night that offers delicious Cocktails and a great Whisky Selection - you are well taken care of! Just out the door you can reach the city wall and many small Cafe‘s and restaurants, as well as the train station. Valet Parking is 50£, a garage with roughly 35£ per night is just around the corner if you come by car. Would definitely visit again!

The hotel is very clean and the room was spacious. The breakfast was the best among all the hotels I visited in UK in the past two years at this price.
It’s just opposite the train station and there was a good Chinese restaurant- Red Chilli - close by. The hop-on-hop-off bus is just outside the train station. Everything is so convenient.

Fantastic stay at The Grand. We had booked a suite but it was not one of the modernised rooms like we had hoped for. We went to reception and was greeted by India who kindly gave us options of 2 other rooms to move to and let us view both before choosing. The room we picked was fantastic, so modern, comfortable and even had kitchen facilities which was an added bonus. It was lovely to sleep in such a comfortable bed and not be disturbed by any street noise or noise from other guests. We went out for dinner and was surprised to come back to see we’d had a turn down service and little chocolates left on the pillows. Just little touches like this make you want to return and recommend to others. We would definitely stay here again, the service from all staff, but especially India, was fantastic!

The staff are above excellent. Very very helpful and friendly. The hotel is so central and because we travelled by train so near the station. Unfortunately the swimming pool wasn't in use and it would of added to our stay but in no way spoiled our visit. A huge thankyou to all.
