A very nice traditional Japanese B&B. Simple yet clean and comfortable.
There are open-air and indoor hot spring baths, which are very comfortable to soak in.
The host of the B&B is very kind and the breakfast is prepared with great care and is very delicious.

The hotel is not far from the station. You can hear the sound of the train after 7:30 am and before 10 pm, but it has little effect on your sleep time.

There is no distinction between men and women in the bathhouse. When a family enters one of the bathhouses, they lock the room and turn it into a private hot spring.
Because there was no hot water in the room, I went to the outdoor bath to take a shower. The water power was very poor. It was not ordinary. The water dripped out and I couldn't take a shower. I haven't tried the water power on the indoor side. Anyway, I can't imagine that at this price in Japan, there would be no water to shower in the room. It's useless to pay extra for a hairdryer to get a room with a toilet.
Can only check in at 5pm
There are rooms where you can see the outdoor bathing area by opening the window, but I can easily be seen by people upstairs in the bathing area.

Yufuin is a really cute place for shopping that is also close to nature. My stay was very short but the Japanese style room was very comfy. The ryokan is near the train tracks so you will hear trains going by but it wasnt bothersome and they dont go on throughout the night or really early in the morning. The hosts are very nice and quiet. I have tattoos so it was really cool to have an onsen right at the ryokan because it can be a little tricky to find places that accept tattoos (they do exist though). The japanese breakfast was varied and yummy, but if youre unfamiliar with Japanese food it might be an exciting new experience. There is also a cute cat that I saw a few times which was a plus for me.

The ryokan was amazing especially the onsen. The room was beautiful and the lady who ran the ryokan was so sweet and make a delicious breakfast. Next time I’m in yufuin, I’ll definitely stay here again

The owner is really kind and the room is tidy and feels like a Japanese home. The hot spring is very hot at first, but you can adjust it by turning on the cold water connected next to it! It is recommended to adjust the water temperature before taking off your clothes. The breakfast was also delicious. Check-in time is from 5:00, so it is recommended as the ultimate value for money for those arriving late from Yufuin!
