Yundu Scenic Beauty Inn (Yulong Baisha Branch)

The facilities were good, the smart room was a nice touch where you can set the room to sleep/wake without getting out of bed. The accommodation was also within walking distance of Baisha Ancient City. The window view was excellent and allowed for a direct view of the mountains. It was a shame that it was mainly cloudy during the days I stayed as it was the rainy season and that there was no snow. Nevertheless, it was a magnificent view. Personally I loved and appreciated the service shown to me throughout my stay. The staff were warm, caring and they often went above and beyond their duties. 1. I had tried to order a windbreaker to the place but the parcel kept getting delayed. The boss helped me to rush the parcel every day since I raised my concern to him. I was not adept at using the Chinese Taobao and they even called the transport company in my place to help contact customer service in my place as I did not have a Chinese number. 2. There were some days where I was more free and I spent hours drinking tea with the boss at the table or playing with 三津 the dog. I didn’t really know how to use WeChat/Alipay/Taobao in general and they were also very patient in teaching me to do so with multiple apps as I wanted to be able to order food delivery by myself eventually. 3. They were also very willing to recommend additional places that I should visit eg 玉湖/Jade lake, 束河古镇/Shuhe ancient city, shared that at 8pm there’s a local campfire dance in each of the ancient cities . I would confidently say that I did more than I originally planned as my main priority in Lijiang was to climb Jade Dragon Snow mountain ). I would totally stay here again if I were to visit Lijiang in the winter!
