Field Snow Mountain Panoramic Mei Ju · Xian Yun Courtyard

The pictures are misleading, pure photo trickery. There was no 'sun-kissed golden mountain' that day, which is a weather factor, but the view from the window was clearly different. The size and proximity of the mountains were off, and even if all the mountains were visible, it wouldn't match what was shown in the seller's photos. A bit speechless.

Excellent stay! The room was spacious, and the bed was super comfy. Most importantly, everything was spotless. The heating worked great, and the owner was really nice. No complaints whatsoever!

Located at the very end of the ancient town, right outside is the famous photo-op wall, and it's also where the horseback riding tours depart from. They even recommended some approximate prices for me. The two young owners were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, and it's built like a traditional quadrangle courtyard, so you can see the stars at night. A really great spot!

The B&B is in a great, quiet location, yet not far from Baisha Ancient Town. In the morning, you can see the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' from the rooftop. The rooms are spacious, and the owners are incredibly welcoming and warm. There are several excellent spots behind the courtyard for taking photos of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

The wooden furniture paired with soft bedding made for a really comfortable stay. But the absolute highlight was the 360° golden-sun-on-snow-capped-mountains view. The guesthouse thoughtfully designed a viewing terrace, so you don't have to jostle with crowds; you can just sit on the terrace, sip tea, and enjoy the stunning sight of the snow-capped mountains glittering in the sunlight all to yourself. Getting around was also very convenient; if you're driving, there's a dedicated parking space, and it's easy to get a taxi to Shuhe or Lijiang Old Town. At night, my friends and I sat in the yard watching the stars. Without the interference of city lights, the starry sky was exceptionally clear – a truly perfect experience!

I chose Xianyun Courtyard by chance, arriving in the evening. The room was clean and tidy, with all the necessary toiletries. It even had a smart toilet, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. It's about a 10-minute walk from Baisha Ancient Town, quiet and comfortable. Waking up the next day, the view from the window was so soothing. Breakfast was delicious rice noodles cooked by an auntie; she didn't skimp on the meat sauce at all, haha. The owner, a young man from Guangdong, was warm and attentive, practically always ready to help. He even recommended coffee and restaurants. Oh, and mentioning the owner's name gets you a 20% discount, haha!
