We had a wonderful 2-night stay in Lijiang and absolutely loved the peaceful environment and beautiful surroundings. The location is quiet and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle, which made our stay very comfortable. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of Yulong Snow Mountain — it was simply breathtaking and made the stay even more special. Waking up to such a beautiful view was truly unforgettable. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely environment and amazing scenery made this stay well worth it. We really enjoyed our 2 nights here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and scenic place to stay in Lijiang. A truly memorable part of our trip!

A Little Haven of Peace in Baisha From the very moment we stepped into this beautiful boutique hotel, we were greeted by an almost magical wave of tranquility — accompanied by the gentle sound of piano music. We loved every detail of this incredibly well-cared-for place. You can feel the love and attention in even the smallest things. Nothing feels accidental; every corner, every object, every little touch seems to have been chosen and cared for with genuine warmth. What made our stay even more special were the wonderful hosts, a beautiful Chinese couple who welcomed us with such kindness and hospitality. Both speak fluent English, which made communication effortless, but it was their warmth and sincere care that truly made us feel at home. This is much more than just a beautiful hotel. It is a place with a soul — peaceful, intimate, thoughtful and full of heart. If you are staying in Baisha, we would wholeheartedly recommend this little gem. We left feeling rested, inspired and grateful that we had found such a special place.

We had a wonderful stay. The owners are incredibly kind and always ready to offer suggestions on where to go and what to see. We have never experienced such perfect hospitality, even if we have traveled all around the world. The hotel is stylish, with every detail carefully considered; it feels just like home—a stunning home. The breakfast is also thoughtfully planned, with a choice between Continental and Chinese options. The Chinese breakfast is fantastic—the noodles are perfect and homemade. It’s yet another detail that makes you feel truly well looked after. We hope to return soon. And for non-Chinese speakers: the fact that the owners speak English is a huge advantage for the wàiguórén.

The location is convenient to ancient town and other popular attractions. The facilities are top-notched and sparkling clean. The service is superb. The owner and management team help make a stay restful and the transportation less hassle.

Location is unbeatable, just steps from Baisha’s main streets. Rooms are spotless, cosy, and finished with high-quality touches. And the highlight? The rooftop view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—simply breathtaking.

Our friend group (7 of us) booked 4 rooms and stayed 4 days at the 37 Courtyard in Baisha Ancient Old Town which was the absolute highlight of our trip. The rooms were cosy, spotless and high-end, with great storage and a shower that actually had consistent hot water. Huge shout to the owner who has put a lot of thought into details, from the quality bath products to the luxury-feel mugs. The lobby lounge is such a vibe - tastefully decorated with classical music playing, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a drink after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast with options between Western and Chinese was absolutely to die for and came with proper coffee and local tea. The cherry on top is the stunning and crowd-free rooftop views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It’s one of the best seats in the house!!! Wish we could have stayed longer! We are planning to visit this fantastic guesthouse again. We highly recommend anyone heading to Lijiang and Baisha Ancient Old Town to stay at the guesthouse.

I had a genuinely lovely stay at 36 Courtyard Hotel—one of those places that quietly gets everything right. What stood out most was how thoughtful and accommodating the team was. I have some specific dietary requirements, and they went out of their way to prepare a breakfast just for me. It never felt like a burden to them—quite the opposite. Emily made a French toast and latte that I ended up looking forward to every morning. The hotel itself has a refined feel without being stiff. Everything—from the furniture to the toiletries to even the plates and silverware—feels carefully chosen. It’s classy, but also cozy in a way that makes it feel more like a home than a hotel. Everything was spotless throughout my stay, which made it all the more comfortable to settle in and relax. And I have to mention Renee—she was wonderful. She picked me up from the train station when I arrived, and later drove me to the airport when I left. That kind of care and attention is rare, and it really made a difference. All in all, this is a place that feels personal, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. I’d absolutely stay here again.
