Guesthouse Villa Irena

Agent (Nena) at check in was friendly and professional. Property has spacious parking and it is close to beach bars. Would stay there again.

Booked in late at night. Room was very small to stay for a week. There was a very pungent smell coming from the bathroom. Due to time of night we stayed. Next morning we reported the issue as the smell was still lingering. The receptionist was lovely and very understanding however they couldn’t give us another room due to no availability. We were able to get a refund and seek alternative accommodation. The room was dated, and requires attention. Throughout our stay in Zadar we met other residents of Villa Irena who had same experiences but they didn’t get to move. This is not 3 star, it’s basic and unsanitary. There are much better places to stay nearby.

We arrived late at night in Zadar and after booking in the manager asked us to wait and he would help us with bags. We thought this was great only to discover we were on the 5th floor with no lift! One of us oer 70 and the other had spinal surgery last year. When we entered the room it was an attic! No room to stand up and had to crouch to get into bed .to get dressed.We could walk straight only down middle of room. We complained next morning and were told there was nothing could be done as they were booked out.We persisted and were told there was another room available next day with 1 bedroom and double bed. 1 (we booked single beds) ad they would be charging 90 euro a night! I think they gave us the worst room in the house as they were booked up .No management support no clean towels.Our attic was not cleand for the week. I would warn people not to book this place unless you are a single traveller and easily pleased.It was a budget holiday but Villa Irena was falsly advertised with photos showing a nicely lit room. No picture of the slant of the ceiling and lack of space It was a real downer. Thank goodness Zadar was such a nice city

Accessible by public transportation. Walking distance to beach & shopping. Price is right too.

Good apartment, big and good provided, with all the furniture in the kitchen, hairdryer, blankets, a table with chairs inside and outside. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The place is a bit far from the center town (40 mints walking) but if that is not important for you, the place is worth it. The hosts are very kind, we had to leave the apartment in the morning and our flight was in the evening and they let us keep the suitcases in the office so we could visit the town.

I liked very much the quiet place and the location.
