Maybe it's a one-off thing, but one of the managers treated me like a criminal, ranted at me on the phone, and did not give me a chance to explain the situation. It was eventually resolved, but it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I visit Zanzibar almost every week on business, I think I'll never come anywhere near that place. S

it was a very pleasant stay for us. they even upgraded our room from garden view to sea facing., huge room with amazing sea view during high tide., very clean property and the rooms., breakfast too good., we had delicious dinner at night on ala carta basis., price at par to good restaurants, also, the room service of staff was very humble., not a very big property but a beautifully designed property with all the required amenities near to you., definitely deserved 5 star from our side, and there are lots of mixed reviews, but, we must admit that we had a wonderful stay there and at the price, they offered on peak season., it should be appreciated. thanx to golden palm boutique.

Hotel is in the isolated area very quiet, I stayed in the room 101 (King Room with Sea View) which is one of the best and largest room in this hotel. The room was beautiful, with good furniture, very clean and lovely view from indoor and outdoor. Unfortunately, it’s appeared that there’s no quality control in the rooms particularly this room mainly bathroom, in the shower area there is no place to keep a soap (no soap holder), while taking shower you have to keep soap down the floor with full of water because water are moving slowly to the drainage. Towels are disgusting looks like not for this hotel standard, very old towels a lot of stains etc. (see the pictures) me and my wife feel very irritating using them. At night Air Condition cooling was another nightmare (we didn’t get a good sleep at all) one small AC covering the entire area of this large room, beside that cannot reduce the AC temperature below 20% C. (on the bed side was too hot, cooling was above 26% C). If these three negative points can be improved then I take into account that this boutique hotel can be excellent

We had a great stay at Golden Palm. It’s quiet, clean and comfortable. Rooms are huge, beds are cozy, restaurant food was fresh and delicious. Staff very courteous.
