The view from this property is amazing.  Our room was not big but comfortable. Surprisingly, there were a big screen and a projector in the room. The food was basic but tasty. Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn’t working well while we were there. Hotel staff don’t speak English, but we could easily communicate through WeChat and other translate apps. The staff were helpful. They also provided complimentary laundry service. They even contact me in advance to check if I needed transportation from airport or train station to the property. I was very happy with service provided.

Between the beauty of the natural spaces of this hotel, the perfect amenities, fantastic restaurant and IMPECCABLE service from all staff members this hotel is a no brainer for anyone wanting a relaxing spot with incredible views right from your room that rival any view from within Zhangjiajie Park. Truly, the service provided at this hotel included personalized aid when creating itineraries and excursion recommendations, free driver service to and from airport, train station, park and anywhere else, prompt and easy communication with fantastic and friendly hosts and much more. I know this review seems too good to be real, but I promise, this was my experience with my fiancé in the hotel for three nights. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Our stay here was perfect, what an amazing place! The staff are exceptional, and really care about guest experience. They provide transport to and from the east gate of the national park, and will help you plan your day. The service was perfect even down to the small details, like putting mosquito repellent out on the table we liked to play cards at, and providing us with a printed photo of our favourite memory there to take away with us. The room was great, the views were breathtaking. After a long day at the park, we really appreciated having a small swimming pool there for a dip. Food options were good - we enjoyed our dinners and the breakfast buffet. Orders can be placed in advance on WeChat when you are on your way back from a day at the park. There was a decent range of both soft and alcoholic drinks available. What we loved the most is that they have struck the perfect balance between luxury and a kind of homely comfort. We felt so relaxed here. An added bonus for us was their friendly dogs and cat, as we were starting to miss our own dogs at home by this point of our trip. The location was fantastic. It is close to the national park, but the views are so good that if you choose to relax at the hotel you won’t miss anything. If our room wasn’t booked for the following days, we would have extended our stay. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed, not just in China. It was a homey stay. The view and the setup were amazing. The staff were friendly and the dogs are so cute. Breakfast was simple. The ingredients were fresh especially the corn. But do not expect much. Given the view and the good location between the Wulingyuan and the city, the hotel is well worth staying 😄

The place is clean and the staff are all friendly. If you have any questions or needed help to understand about the attractions routes and recommendations, they will be able to advise and help you book the tickets. Their location is up in a hill, there’s a pick up service provided by the hotel from the station or airport to the hotel. The view is extremely beautiful, waking up and having breakfast to the view of the mountain every morning is a very zen experience. The room is spacious enough for you to put and open up ur luggages. Will recommend this place for your stay in ZJJ.

The view from the hotel is breathtaking. They provide driver to go around for free (careful, some areas like Grand Canyon will incur some fee) Booked a room that says can accommodate 4 adults (1 king bed & 1 queen bed). In reality it’s 1 king bed & 1 single bed. I was asked to then pay for an extra bed for 300RMB. After some argument, they waived the fee. You can also ask to have meals cooked from their menu. Be careful to read the menu properly. I was charged 490RMB for the chicken, because the menu says 98RMB for every 500g, and they apparently cooked 2.5kg chicken without letting us know in advance. The amenities were fine. Bathroom & toilet were clean, but not very well designed (no hanger in toilet etc). They can also help you with laundry for free.

Excellent stay, with very attentive staff all around. Front desk staff was very helpful, and provided us with free transportation to the east gate of ZJJ National Forest Park. Daily included breakfast was excellent as well. The grounds were absolutely stunning and beautiful, and the fixtures in the rooms were both very comfortable and modern. If you're looking for a well-catered experience when visiting ZJJ National Forest Park, look no further. The staff went out of their way to make it feel like I was staying with family.

Love our stay! This homestay provided far beyond the basic listed services and truly made our trip to Zhangjiajie memorable. - before our arrival, we already felt the warmth and genuine hospitality.They patiently dialogued with us to plan how best to maximise our time during our 5D4N stay with them, and even considered the days after as we are moving to another homestay. They thoughtfully introduced and mapped out local attractions, helping us make the most of our trip. - We appreciated their transparency when sharing their offerings and discounted rates, giving us space to compare without pressure. This gave us peace of mind even before checking in. - One of the biggest highlights was how the homestay helped bridge the transportation gap. Despite the secluded location, they arranged reliable partner drivers who charged us at very competitive Didi rates, making travel easy and affordable without needing to worry about timing. - We also loved the friendly dogs and cat around the homestay. They brought so much joy and warmth, and playing with them became part of our daily routine. A special shoutout to Butler Jiang (将）, who truly went above and beyond. - Upon arrival, he noticed we had caught a cold and politely ask if he could prepare herbal tea for us. This became our daily comfort drink throughout the stay. We even felt shy asking for it so often, but he and the team kindly reminded us it was part of their care. - One unforgettable moment was during a heavy downpour. With the road under government maintenance, access to the homestay became extra challenging for that day. Butler Jiang appeared with multiple umbrellas and a buggy (not something we had seen before!). Since cars couldn’t reach the homestay directly, he walked down to escort guests personally—soaked in rain but making sure each of us stayed dry. When we got on the buggy, we realized he had even opened umbrellas to keep the seats dry. We were deeply touched by his dedication. Upon returning, we were greeted by a joyful gathering of guests enjoying a mini party at the pavilion—a sight that perfectly captured the warmth and spirit of this homestay. Another shoutout to their partnering driver sun (孙）: - After we moved to our second homestay, we once got stranded by the roadside because of Didi GPS error that made it difficult for a ride-hailing driver to locate the place. The only option offered by our then homestay was to dropped us at the base of a mountain, where we waited over 15 minutes with no success. Luckily, driver sun from Celestial Valley Homestay recognized us and offered us a ride, so we followed him back to Celestial Valley, and were warmly welcomed again with complimentary tea and another chance to enjoy the view and play with the pets. - driver sun also took on our business and brought us to the city and even took us on another round trip to a faraway attraction. We were no longer guests at that point, yet the hospitality continued. We were truly thankful for the extended service and kindness. This homestay gave us more than just a place to stay—it offered warmth, care, and unforgettable memories. It's this genuine hospitality that makes Celestial Valley such a rare gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking for heartfelt service, breathtaking views and a true home away from home.

Just completed our 4-day, 3-night trip to the magnificent Zhangjiajie, staying at the equally—if not more—beautiful and serene Zhangjiajie Celestial Valley Minsu. Without the crowds, this place truly feels like a hidden gem. Of all the accommodations we stayed at during our first trip to China, Celestial Valley felt more like a home, nestled in a location with out-of-this-world scenery. After spending a full day in the bustling Zhangjiajie National Park, returning here to enjoy an outdoor dinner with breathtaking views—followed by a “celestial wonder” of millions of stars—was an unbelievably magnificent experience. From our 4 days with driver Mr. 孫, to the warm hospitality of front desk staff 小蔣 and 小范, and the kind assistance of 小鄭, everyone treated us like family. They arranged every detail of our trip, ensuring we made the most of our short stay in Zhangjiajie. From booking tickets in advance (so we didn’t have to fight the crowds), to planning our meals, and providing detailed information about the best spots in the National Park, Grand Canyon, and Tianmen Mountain, we felt utterly pampered. Leaving Zhangjiajie—and especially our “new family”—was the hardest part. Our spacious, fully equipped, and spotlessly clean room offered a magnificent panoramic view of the gorgeous mountains. Outside, there were plenty of seating areas to enjoy their organic farms, vibrant flowers, and blossoming trees. Oh, and I must mention the cutest dogs and cats who greeted us daily—they added such charm to our stay! It was so hard to leave, and we’re already counting the days until we can return. Next time, we’ll stay longer—please save our room for us!

Excellent views, excellent service, and very friendly helpful staff. However, to get to the hotel, you need to drive through a very sharp twisty mountain one car road.

Great stay. The staff is very attentive and helpful - planning the visits to the park as well as other interesting sights. The room was spacious and clean. Food at the restaurant was also great and a good option for days when you don’t want to go to town. Highly recommend!
