Genting Grand Hotel

On my annual leave, my friends and I decided to spend six days and five nights at the Olympic Village for a ski trip. We specifically chose two ski-in/ski-out hotels. For our family of four, we booked a two-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious. Having two bathrooms and showers was very convenient, and the washer-dryer was a big plus for cleaning our ski gear. The only downsides were the poor drainage: the floor drains in the bathrooms smelled really bad and weren't odor-proof, and the shower drains were slow and also had a sewage smell. Also, while there was a washing machine, laundry detergent wasn't provided and had to be purchased separately, which felt a bit like a rip-off. We had just come from the Thaiwoo Paston, and this hotel definitely has room for improvement compared to that experience.

The room isn't huge, but it's a suite so thankfully it has a living room. The bathroom is actually quite spacious, which is a plus. We stayed in the South Wing, and getting to the ski lift means walking through the entire hotel, which is a bit of a trek. On the bright side, there's a Starbucks at Genting!

Came here to ski during the Chinese New Year holiday, and Genting is an old favorite of mine. I have to give it a 100-star rating this time! I happened to catch the two windiest days of the ski season, but Genting's gondola, though a bit slower, kept running as usual. Genting's ski resort has the shortest queues, and most of its slopes are south-facing with great visibility. I managed to hit all the advanced runs twice over the two days, starting the new year with full energy and passion. It was fantastic! The hotel was prompt with water delivery, the hotpot wasn't expensive, and the front desk even gave us a late check-out since we had a child with us. All in all, it's the best hotel in Chongli, absolutely loved it!

Our one-night stay at the hotel was excellent overall. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a suite for free, which was spacious and comfortable. They also offered a late check-out, demonstrating professional and thoughtful service. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, tasted great, and was constantly replenished. The hotel's location is very convenient, making it easy to get to and from the ski resort. It's a highly recommended choice for both holidays and ski trips.

The room was clean and the bed was soft. The apartment accommodation is very convenient with ski-in/ski-out access. The room service was just like a big hotel, and they even provided welcome fruit and bottled water. There's a washing machine so you can wash your ski clothes every day to get rid of sweat. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is a bit old, but the room is very spacious, more than enough for three people's ski gear. The soundproofing is also good, and having two restrooms is very convenient. Access to the Yunhua Palace on the fifth floor was already complimentary, so I'm not sure why Ctrip advertised it as a special freebie. The ski hall exits directly to the first gondola lift.
