Hotels in Dafo Temple, Zhangye

I choose this hotel because it is just near Dafo Temple but I never think before that this hotel will make my Zhangye trip so wonderful. The room is so convenient and well designed. Not only the good taste but the function of that design is practical. Very genius. Room size is big, new and facilities is excellent. They provide free soft drink in the room and refilled each day. Breakfast has various option buffet and delicious. Common area is very comfortable to sit and relax with free snack, fruit and coffee/tea (I am not sure). But most of all their staff is the most impressive. They all have service mind and hospitality even though they can not speak English. We communicate with translator and they help me order delivered food. There is one staff who gave me wechat contact via Trip.com so it made my Zhangye trip easily because I can ask her many questions. Very thankful for that staff. I would definitely recommend anyone who will visit Zhangye to stay here . very worth your money.

The room we got was spacious and comfortable enough boot mattresses and duvets. Service from front desk was always helpful and attentive. The hotel is very outdated though. Smelly dirty carpet everywhere, smoke scent, old bathroom etc. We sometimes had to wait a long time before we got hot water, if we got it at all. Also, there seems to be some sort of music lessons above the building, which started very early and made so much noise. Couldn't sleep with all the drums and music. Very loud.

for the price we paid it was a great stay, and front desk ladies were really nice. But there were a few problems. water temperature in shower isn’t stable, there was a leak in the room below and someone had to come in to our room and fix it even though we were only there for 2 nights, also no handsoap and toilet paper is limited, there weren’t any free toothbrushes and shower cap either. The free amenities they advertise like pool and gym are actually advertisements for another building so it’s not free for hotel guests .

The suite was spacious enough, and while the facilities were a bit dated, they were clean. The staff was friendly, especially the front desk. Transportation was convenient, and there was ample parking in the city, which was quite a challenge. Many hotels have parking lots directly on the street, with limited or no spaces. We checked out of another hotel and booked this one. For your reference.

The hotel service is very good, and the price-performance ratio in the off-season is very high. Knowing that we were taking exams, they arranged a quiet house for us, and recommended a special breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of varieties, and a foot bath bucket was also given. The private room environment in the restaurant upstairs is good. The food is also delicious! The hotel is very close to the test center. It is very convenient to go shopping and the experience is great. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is very close to Big Buddha Temple. Located in the center of the old city, it is very convenient to travel. The hotel service is very good and it is warm and thoughtful to customers. The breakfast is also very good with a lot of variety.

1. Location very strategic. From Train Station to hotel by taxi is about RMB 8. 2. Beside Dafo Temple 3.Short 10mins walk to street food market 4. During my stay Sept 2025, Flower Druml Tower and Wooden Pagoda is still under renovation. It is 10 mins walk to Wooden Pagoda . 20mins walk to Flower DrumTower. 5. Complementary coffee at the reception area.

Clean and modern room and bathroom. My first room was near the reception, and unfortunately, the cigarette smoke from the owner (or employee, I don't know) was very strong. The worst part, however, was the washing machine. After a normal wash, it refused to open, so the lady at reception restarted a wash. But it still wouldn't open. They ran a third wash, this time at a high temperature, without telling me. When I returned, I found all my wet clothes outside the washing machine and they told me the machine had broken. Result: I had to take my wet clothes on the train, and all my white clothes had turned gray because they had used high temperatures.

The first night I came to the hotel was already 3 in the morning. It may be a problem with two orders. I have to find the front desk to check in. After a few minutes, the boss climbs up to help deal with it. The next day, I can enter it normally. The hotel is very smart and can control the furniture with a small degree. The environment is very good and relatively new.
