I hope this communication finds you well.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent experience at the Zhaoqing Star Hotel in China, where I stayed with my family on April 5, 2023. We had reserved two rooms, and to our astonishment, we discovered that the bed linens had not been changed before our arrival. They remained stained and contaminated from prior usage.
Moreover, we observed repugnant bloodstains and other forms of dirt on the linens in both rooms, which not only caused significant distress but also provoked feelings of outrage among my family members. It is incomprehensible that a hotel, which boasts a five-star reputation on your esteemed Trip.com platform, would allow such a severe lapse in fundamental cleanliness standards. This incident not only marred our stay but also raised serious concerns regarding possible health risks, including skin infections.
I would like to stress that I have consistently held your services in high regard in the past, which is why this experience has been exceedingly disappointing. I respectfully urge your management team to address this matter with the utmost seriousness and to take immediate action to ensure that a satisfactory resolution is provided to my family and me.
Should you require any further information to facilitate your investigation, I would be more than willing to cooperate and provide additional details.

Hotel location very good just opposite to malls, eateries and supermarket. The room is clean and big. Overall was a good experience.

An average hotel with great service.
The employees were very friendly but the facilities are lacking. I booked a guestroom because it featured a ceiling window. However, the one feature I was looking forward to was disappointing because the exterior had not been cleaned and was dirty. It was slightly disgusting to even look at. You could also see the wear and tear on the window frame as paint was coming off and even rusted in certain spots. The other aspects of the room however were acceptable and clean.
In terms of view, even though I had a lake-view, there wasn’t much to see. But this is simply due to the location of the hotel, and is an inherent weakness.
I think this hotel is making an effort to become a great hotel and it is getting there. It just needs to focus on some of the small details.

Very good location, though not near to public transport. Is next to a lake and a shopping mall. Everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet spread is good too.

The hotel room was very big with a very large bed that could probably fit 3-4 slim people. There was a lot of options to choose from at the buffet breakfast. Service was excellent and smooth at check-in and check-out. The room was cleaned daily we were surprised with a plate of fresh fruit (banana, mandarin and a green crunchy fruit) every day. Location of the Star Hotel was great. It is next to the scenic lake and wharf area and is directly connected to a Star Lake Mall. There are plenty of food and shopping options near by. The only complaint about the hotel is the smell of smoking in some common areas of the hotel.

Excellent location, great room size and bed configuration. We had booked the family room in which had plenty of space. Pool area was under renovation whilst we stayed.

Hotel is upscale, facing partial Star lake, and is next to a shopping mall and food court. Room was nice and clean, non-smoking.
Downside, expect your lake view room only has partial lake view. Breakfast was good, but the same food every day. There’s no self laundry service and none nearby either.
Stayed 4 nights, still enjoyed it!
