Holiday Inn Express ZHENGZHOU ZHENGDONG by IHG

Quiet, well-appointed, and with a good breakfast. My only minor complaint is that the Wi-Fi wasn't very user-friendly for seniors or Android phones; it took a while to get it sorted. Luckily, Tom and Linda at the front desk were very helpful and got us connected. The hotel rooms are spacious, and it's conveniently located near the East Station, making transport a breeze.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Zhengzhou East Station, about a 10-minute walk. This makes it convenient to travel to surrounding cities from Zhengzhou East. There aren't many good food options nearby, but fortunately, food delivery is very convenient.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, just a 10-minute walk away, making it perfect for travelers arriving late and catching an early high-speed train the next morning. The rooms are quite clean, and the breakfast is plentiful, featuring the local specialty, 'Hulatang' (spicy soup). The price is also reasonable during non-holiday periods.

This hotel is actually closer to the West Exit of Zhengzhou East Railway Station (Mixue Bingcheng headquarters is at the East Exit). There are many hotels clustered together in the area. I wouldn't recommend this one if it's hot, and here's why: I checked in at the end of March, and the air conditioning wasn't cooling (it didn't even feel like it was ventilating when I put my hand to it). When I asked why, they told me it was because the heating supply had just been turned off, and then asked if I felt cold. Seriously?! The outdoor temperature forecast for those days was 11-24°C, and the room temperature displayed 28°C. It was a completely nonsensical answer, clearly trying to fob me off. There was a fan in the room, which shows the hotel already knows guests might find it hot. Reluctantly, I had to sleep with the fan on and the window open, just to get some sleep (I was bothered by noise from outside because of the open window). The hotel's other facilities are average; the bedding was decent. The hairdryer was an old, wall-mounted type, which was quite inconvenient. Furthermore, from the moment I got out of the car until I reached the front desk, no staff member greeted me or offered to help with my luggage. At the front desk, I even had to initiate a greeting before anyone looked up and responded. Although there was a smile, the initial impression was still one of reluctance and indifference. The fastest and most satisfying service I received was from the food delivery robot.

Location: Very close to the East Station, about a 10-minute walk from the West Plaza exit. It's a new area, so not too crowded. Service: The service was really good. They even offered complimentary drinks, and the front desk staff were all very polite. Cleanliness: Everything was tidy and generally acceptable. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was sufficient.

Extremely close to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, about a 500-meter walk. There's a fantastic Hangzhou restaurant right downstairs. We received complimentary welcome drinks upon check-in. The bed wasn't huge, but the shower was incredibly spacious. They also have a laundry room with three separate washer-dryer sets. Breakfast was quite good, and they even had a fresh coffee machine.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from Zhengzhou East Square. The breakfast was a delightful surprise with its extensive variety.

This trip really made a great impression on me regarding Holiday Inn Express! The room was very standard, with everything you'd expect, and I especially loved that their desk lamp was a Philips eye-care lamp – major kudos for that! The hotel's location is right outside Zhengzhou East Station, about a six or seven-minute walk. We came from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou East the day before and were heading back to Nanjing the next morning, so staying here was incredibly convenient. The breakfast is also quite good for a hotel of this caliber, with a wide variety of choices; meat, eggs, milk, whole grains, and fruit were all abundant. Plus, their coffee is from Luckin Coffee! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be receiving a text message asking for a good review after checking out, and it even had my name on it. The main reason it felt awkward was that when I checked out, I just handed over my key card and there was no other service. If I were going to give a good review, I'd be more inclined to give it to the gentleman who checked me in, at least he told me that IHG members get two complimentary Cokes. The young lady at checkout literally just took my key card! So to directly receive a text asking for a good review felt a bit awkward!

The environment is decent, but the main highlight is the excellent location. It's about an 8-minute walk to the East Station and a 5-minute taxi ride to Zhengzhou East MixC. The hotel rooms are good, typical of a reliable 3-4 star chain. Breakfast was also alright.
