Carlton Movie Hotel

Room cleanliness was acceptable, and the bedding was average. The showerhead definitely needs some attention as water was spraying everywhere. The air conditioning was also a bit strange; despite setting it to 16°C with maximum fan speed, the room temperature was still 25°C all night until I checked out at 9 AM. On a brighter note, I'd like to give a special shout-out to a young lady at the front desk. She spoke softly and handled my check-in on the 8th. Her excellent attitude and service left a deep impression, and I regret not getting her name.

The location is great and easy to find. The hotel offers a comfortable and spotlessly clean environment. With plenty of shops and restaurants right outside, it's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and getting around. The room was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed, in particular, was exceptionally large and soft, providing the utmost comfort. Nearby tourist attractions are easily accessible, and shared electric bikes/scooters on the street make getting around a breeze. Overall, it was a very satisfactory stay.

Facilities: The smart controls were very convenient to use. Cleanliness: The room was impeccably clean and tidy. Ambiance: The environment was comfortable and quiet. Even though my room was on a low floor, the double-glazed windows did an excellent job of blocking out noise, so it wasn't loud at all. Service: The staff provided wonderful service; they even helped with laundry and drying my clothes.

The young lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly. The room itself was excellent, featuring a huge projector screen and a smart toilet. The vanity area was spotless and very hygienic. Even our kids were really pleased!

The hotel is very close to the scenic Wind-Rain Bridge, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. While the location is a definite plus – it even has its own parking lot – you'll need to arrive early to secure a spot. My main disappointment was with the cleanliness; specifically, the carpets could definitely use a thorough cleaning to improve the overall hygiene.

Let's start with the pros: The location is fantastic, very close to the pedestrian street, which means it's essentially right by the Longjin Wind-Rain Bridge. Shopping nearby is also very convenient, and the price was quite affordable. Now for the cons: The room was unbelievably, incredibly noisy! The street outside was a constant stream of traffic and loud chatter until well past midnight. We heard racing cars, arguments, and people shouting back and forth – it was an overwhelming din. I couldn't get any sleep at all! To make matters worse, the window didn't close properly, leaving a gap and letting in even more noise. While there's a parking lot in the courtyard, spaces are quite limited.
