The campground is inside the Impression Tengger Scenic Area. There are campgrounds all around (I checked and found that almost all the ones offering free Tengger tickets are located nearby). Sandstorm offers the best value. 😁 The service was excellent. Mr. Li contacted me right after booking to confirm how to get to the campground. (If you drive, you can only reach the scenic area entrance; it's all desert inside and you have to change cars. There's no guide, and you don't know the way. 😂) Tengger activities are right next to it.
The hotel has a bonfire, iron flower making, fireworks, and a karaoke bar. It's all quite lively. After 5 or 6, when the sun isn't so strong, it's wonderful to walk along the sand dunes for two or three hours. It's refreshing and you can even watch the sunset. The shared bathrooms are also quite spacious, with lockers and benches for storing clothes. A tip for you ladies: wash and change into your regular shoes before returning to your tent (you'll still get sandy if you wear slippers. 😂)
It rained this time, so unfortunately I couldn't see the stars, but it was a special experience. Even with the strong wind and heavy rain, sand didn't get into the tent, which was great. 😀

The cabins are excellent value for money. The desert heat is intense during the day, and the air conditioning is very comfortable. In the evenings, we went out to play in the sand. The shared restrooms, while not as convenient as private bathrooms, are acceptable. The bathrooms and showers are clean, with plenty of hot water. Hair dryers are available in the bathrooms and cabins. My biggest complaint was the restaurant. We ordered a copper pot with two bowls of rice (only half a bowl). We, two adults and one child, asked if we could get more. Initially, we were told to add more, but the waiter serving the rice was grim and reluctantly gave us half a bowl. After a while, I went in to get a spoon, and they asked me to pay the 3 yuan for the rice. They hadn't told me to at first, and I ended up not getting much of the meat in the copper pot. I went to the store to buy instant noodles and cooked them in the copper pot. Overall, the value is acceptable. Don't expect too much from a campsite; you can enjoy everything. If you can, choose a room with a private bathroom. The service was excellent both on arrival and departure, including help calling a taxi and carrying my luggage.
