Hyatt Regency Hengqin

Checked into the Hyatt in Hengqin on February 22, 2026, and I can honestly say it was an abysmal experience! The most glaring issue was the hygiene: the bathroom had an appalling amount of limescale, and the drains were filthy! There were even cobwebs in the room that hadn't been cleaned. I booked two king rooms with breakfast, and every single one of our guests experienced itching all over their bodies! What's even more infuriating is that our infant developed several rashes! After reporting the situation to the front desk, the hotel manager called me to discuss solutions: First, they offered a complimentary room upgrade on our next stay? After an experience like this, there's no way there'll be a 'next time'! Second, compared to such a dreadful stay, we weren't interested in the hotel's offer of two bottles of red wine and a New Year's cake package as compensation. As a five-star hotel, I can understand that not receiving certain courtesies when booking through Trip.com might be a channel issue. However, when I checked in after pre-booking, why did the front desk staff mess up our rooms?! And why were they so dismissive and flippant with guests?! If basic hygiene can't even be guaranteed, then this hotel, at its price point, offers far worse value for money than a Hanting Hotel that costs less than a third of the price! I have to ask, with incidents like these, is Hyatt simply taking advantage of its reputation and customers? I hope to receive a proper resolution from Trip.com.

Visited Chimelong with my little one and chose to stay at the Hyatt. The breakfast was really good, with a great variety of food! [socially active emoji] I'm so grateful to Lan for her help and care with our breakfast arrangements. [ok hand emoji] Since I was with my baby, it wasn't easy to get food, and Lan proactively and warmly offered her assistance. [let me see emoji] Also, a big thank you to Miss Tinna at the lobby bar for her kindness; my baby really loved her! [heart emojis] This trip was made so much easier because of them. [celebration emoji] They even provided an air purifier for the baby, which was incredibly thoughtful. The service was top-notch – a truly comfortable choice for traveling with a baby!

Huge thanks to Samuel at the front desk for the swift check-in and check-out. When I reported an issue with the room lighting late at night, an engineer arrived within 10 minutes to fix it. The bedding was incredibly soft, and the mattress had just the right balance of firmness and comfort. The bathroom's wet and dry areas were well-separated, and the shower had consistent water pressure and quick hot water. The free WiFi was stable, and there were plenty of conveniently located power outlets.

One-night layover. The room had a strong, musty smell. Not sure where all the good reviews came from. Breakfast wasn't good either. The staff were quite responsive and service-minded, which was a plus. The Kids' Club and pool were just okay. It would have been much more convenient to stay inside the park instead.

Huge thanks to the lady at check-in on the 3rd floor! I was using a last-minute room voucher that day, and because I wanted to be on the same floor as my friend, she upgraded me from a twin room to a king-size bed. The cleanliness was excellent, truly capturing the essence of Macao – the glass cups were always spotless. The facilities were generally good, but the toilet was a bit disappointing; it wasn't automatic, the seat was freezing, and there were no electric curtains! The manual track for the curtains also wasn't smooth.

Our Chimelong Hotel reservation expired, and the price for a last-minute booking was too high, so we thought of the Hyatt Regency Hengqin instead. Looking at the price, there wasn't much of a premium even booking the day before we left, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The front desk staff, Nelly and Tayloy, noticed we had a child and proactively offered to switch us to a twin room, and also upgraded us to the highest floor. The hotel provides a shuttle service to and from Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, which is convenient, but not essential, as it's easy to take a taxi according to your own schedule (less than 20 yuan). However, having the hotel bus for the return trip was a real 'lifesaver'. After the fireworks, when you're leaving the park with thousands of other people, the sheer joy of being able to effortlessly take a bus back to the hotel is something only those who've spent a full day playing can truly understand. Every staff member at the Hyatt genuinely cares for their guests, making you feel truly at home. At 9:30 PM, we took our child to the 180-degree rooftop bar on the 23rd floor to experience the all-you-can-eat BBQ, drinks, and fruit. I ordered two cocktails to relax a bit, and the hotel's self-made drinks were absolutely delicious.
