Suzhou's Seven-mile Shantang

Suzhou's Seven-mile Shantang

💫The "Number One Street in Suzhou" is the Seven-mile Shantang Street, which has a history of over 1000 years. There are indeed many ancient town streets in Suzhou~ 💫Shantang Street is very characteristic of Suzhou, with typical small bridges, flowing water and households. It's like a picture of a dreamy water town, very beautiful~ 💫There is a special tranquility here during the day. Don't come on holidays, you can stroll around quietly, stand on the bridge and take pictures of these old houses, forming a unique landscape with the lake~ 💫This place is actually very suitable for wearing cheongsams, those who like to take photos will get great shots~ 💫The beauty of the south of the Yangtze River is not seasonal, the scenery of the south of the Yangtze River depends on your mood. If you are poetic, it will be poetic, if you are melancholic, it will be misty and rainy...

Suzhou - Classic Must-See Guide

Suzhou - Classic Must-See Guide

There is no bad time to visit Suzhou. If you love Chinese aesthetics, you must visit Suzhou❗️ Recommended accommodation: Guanqian Street 🌟🌟🌟 Day 1🚶: - Visit the gardens during the day - Humble Administrator's Garden + Lion Grove Garden (next to each other) Suzhou gardens are all similar, so we recommend visiting just one representative garden (listening to the stories behind the scenery is better than just looking at it, so we recommend hiring a guide to explain the garden to you. They are very professional, usually locals, and won't try to trick you. They are very good at what they do👍). - You can visit Pingjiang Road in the evening, which has everything you need for eating, drinking, and entertainment. Listen to "Pingtan" on Guanqian Street and experience the "soft Wu dialect". We recommend "Pipa Language" on Guanqian Street - Mr. Wu 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Day 2🚶: - Tiger Hill Pagoda, which is far from the city center But worth a visit The teahouse in the park is nice, and you can spend a whole day there - You can have "Su cuisine" for dinner Day 3🚶: - Pray at Hanshan Temple (Image 2) For the line "Outside the Gusu City, Hanshan Temple, the midnight bell rings to the guest boat" You can take a night walk around Jinji Lake and check in at one of the "Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Trio" at night. Oh, and you must visit Suzhou Museum! Make a reservation in advance, usually a week in advance. It is difficult to make a reservation during holidays‼️ Suzhou is known as "Su Daqiang", a city you will want to visit again❗️

Zhuozhengyuan

Zhuozhengyuan

Zhuozhengyuan is one of the representative and the most famous classic Chinese garden in Suzhou. The scenery here is really beautiful. The ancient buildings are surrounded by lakes and rivers. In summer, lotus blooms in the lake and fish and ducks swim in the river. Tourists can admire the beauty of Chinese ancient buildings here and feel the tranquility at the same time. Spring or autumn is the perfect season to visit here, but there may have a huge amount of tourists. Thus, please avoid public holidays or festivals in case that the garden would be over occupied. I strongly recommend a restaurant- xiesanbao near the garden. Food here is really tasty😍

The Master of the Nets Garden: A Jewel Among Suzhou's Medium-Sized Gardens

The Master of the Nets Garden: A Jewel Among Suzhou's Medium-Sized Gardens

🌳As a devoted fan of Suzhou, I've explored all its gardens.😉 Among them, the Master of the Nets Garden stands out as the best choice for a medium-sized garden.👍 📍 Historical Origins: The history of the Master of the Nets Garden can be traced back to the Southern Song Dynasty, while its current layout is a legacy of the Qing Dynasty. Through the passage of time, this garden has borne witness to countless stories, as if quietly narrating the prosperity of the past. 🗺️ Garden Layout: The main buildings of the Master of the Nets Garden are arranged around a central pool of clear water. The layout is compact, shaped by the water, and exudes elegance and refinement. The murmuring water flows between pavilions and towers, adding a touch of vitality and beauty to the entire garden. Arriving at 7:30 am, you'll find few visitors, allowing you to freely take photos, explore, and embrace the tranquility and beauty. Around 9:30 am, the number of visitors gradually increases, so photography enthusiasts should seize this two-hour golden window to capture the garden's most beautiful moments.📷 🌟 Highlights: · East Section Buildings: This is where the owner entertained guests and studied. The layout is meticulous, and the decorations are exquisite. The "Algae Reaching High" brick-carved gatehouse is known as the finest in Jiangnan. Its exquisite carving craftsmanship and attention to detail showcase the charm of the Jiangnan water towns, evoking admiration.🤩 · Dianchun Studio Courtyard: This small courtyard has a remarkable history.😉 It was replicated at a 1:1 scale in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, representing the epitome of Chinese garden art. Here, you can experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese garden art and appreciate the refinement and elegance of Jiangnan gardens.💯 · Seasonal Flowers: Suzhou's gardens boast flowers in all seasons, and the Master of the Nets Garden is no exception. April–May is the season for peonies and hydrangeas. When these vibrant flowers complement the ancient architecture, they create beautiful scenes that will captivate you.🌸 💡 Travel Tips: · Tickets: 40 yuan · Opening Hours: 7:30 am–5:30 pm, with evening visits available. The garden offers a different charm at night.✨ · Visit Duration: We recommend allocating 1–2 hrs to fully appreciate the garden's charm. · Tourism and Protection Level: National Level 2, 4A, World Cultural Heritage, highlighting its significance in garden art. 💗 Outfit Suggestions: For a visit to the Master of the Nets Garden, we recommend elegant and comfortable attire, such as plain long dresses or traditional Chinese clothing, to complement the garden's ambiance.😉 The Master of the Nets Garden is like a sparkling jewel, nestled in the ancient land of Suzhou. Its elegance, tranquility, and serenity transport you to a picturesque scene of a Jiangnan water town. Come and experience the unique charm of the Master of the Nets Garden!😀

Wonderful sights at the tiger hill! 🐅

#fallingforfall This is one spot that I’ve always wanted to visit since I came to Suzhou, but because of the the location, and a few other reasons, I just never got around to it. however, this place was well worth the trip. I is located in the gusu district of Suzhou and it is a gorgeous park, rich with vegetation and culture. at the center of the park, you can see this amazing structure which is the tiger hill tower. one interesting thing I noticed though was that when you get closer to the tower, you would actually notice that it isn’t completely straight and it leans over to one side. this is one place I definitely recommend, you just need to pay an entrance of 70 yuan 👌🏽 #mountainview #awesomepic #passionpassport #nationalpark #suzhou #suzhougarden #tripblazers
