Is diving in Semporna, Malaysia worth it?

Is diving in Semporna, Malaysia worth it?

Brave people enjoy the world first. I think I will always remember this day. 🤿 About diving certificates 🔹Open Water (OW): The first step for beginners Learn the basics of diving, including the use of diving equipment; get familiar with diving equipment and practice some basic diving skills; finally, you will have field diving training, applying the skills you have learned in real open water. Get it done in three days and five dives! 🥰🥰🥰 We chose White Pearl, and the instructor was very serious and responsible. ☑️ Certificate holders can dive <18 meters, age >10 years old 🤿 FAQs 1⃣️ Can I get a diving certificate if I can't swim? Yes, but if you are very afraid of water or even have a fear of the deep sea, it is recommended not to consider a diving certificate for now. 2⃣️ Do I need to prepare my own diving suit? No, the dive shop will provide all the equipment needed for diving. If you are worried about getting tanned, you can bring your own long-sleeved and long-legged rash guard. 3⃣️ What if I am nearsighted? Can I wear glasses? Many diving instructors are nearsighted and can wear prescription masks. 🥽 4⃣️ How many days does it take to get a certificate? The Open Water (OW) course takes at least 3 days to complete, and the Advanced Open Water (AOW) course takes 2 days. 5⃣️ How to protect yourself from the sun? Buy sunscreen 🧴 that does not contain octocrylene and oxybenzone to avoid adverse effects on the environment. 🏝 [Semporna's Most Beautiful Diving Islands] 1. Sipadan (AOW certificate) One of the top ten dive sites in the world, with mild water temperatures and abundant fish 🐠, it is a famous diving paradise! 2. Mataking (AOW certificate) One of the most popular islands in Semporna, it is the "Maldives" close to us. 3. Mabul Island Known as a diving paradise, it has a wide variety of marine life, and turtles often follow you around. 4. Kapalai A rich variety of marine life and coral reefs 🪸, as if you are in an amazing underwater world. 5. Timba Timba Very primitive, with clear water, it is perfect for snorkeling and deep diving.

Beautiful Semporna~

Beautiful Semporna~

Because it's so beautiful here! The live photos are full of life. I saw the jelly sea and went snorkeling 🤿 to get up close and personal with the swaying corals 🪸 and the little fish 🐠 swimming around. Wish list get ✔️ Tips: Share the island hopping route 1. Timba Timba Island - Mataking Island - Pom Pom Island Line Depart for Jambangan Island in the morning, where you can browse the island's scenery, play on the tail beach, and take photos on the island's popular glass boat. Then head to the waters near Timba Timba for the first snorkeling, where the underwater corals are well protected and the water visibility is high. Then go to the waters near Mataking Island for the second snorkeling. Go to Mataking Island for lunch at noon. The exclusive Mataking Music Beach offers a different kind of feeling. In the afternoon, go to Pom Pom Island or Pandan South Sea for the third snorkeling. 2. Tun Sakaran Marine Park Line Depart from the pier in the morning for a 40-minute boat ride to Pearl Island, where you can climb to the top of Pearl Island (Sleeping Beauty Island) to see the whole view of Tun Sakaran Marine Park. You need to wear sneakers to climb the mountain, and if you are not prepared, you can rent climbing shoes at the bottom of the mountain. Go to Mandab Bay for lunch at noon. In the afternoon, go to Mandabuan Island, where you can see many small fish swimming in the coral reefs for snorkeling/diving, and if there is no tidal effect, you can also go to the island for photos and a walk around the island. Then go to Battleship Island, where the water is clear and there is a long tail beach that is perfect for photos. The water is clear and there are few corals underwater, so you can start snorkeling. 3. Mabul Island - Kapalai Line Depart for Mabul Island in the morning to check in at the popular water house in Semporna, and arrive at Mabul Island to land at Mabul Island Resort (MWB) for 1-1.5 hours to visit and take photos. The water house here has become a popular island check-in spot on INS because of its unique architectural features, and you can take a picture without P-pictures. Have lunch on Mabul Island at noon, and after lunch, take a break and get ready to go out to sea for the first snorkeling. In the afternoon, go to the waters of Kapalai (Kapalai is a private island and does not land on the island) for the second snorkeling, and the snorkeling point will be chosen around the resort, where you can enjoy the beautiful sea water and the romantic atmosphere of the resort.

More than Diving🤿 Semporna·Mangrove Forest Half-day Tour Guide🌳 Feeding monkeys, waiting for the sunset, watching fireflies… It's really worth leaving half a day for the mangrove forest in Semporna💫 · 🌳|Semporna Mangrove Forest 📍|Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia, about 🚗15min from the town ⏰|Depart at around 15:30, return at 20:00, avoid the high temperature at noon, and you can see the sunset and night view 🌐|Malaysia implements visa-free for Chinese tourists (stay no more than 30 days), direct flights from Nanjing to Semporna have been opened, you can depart at any time on weekends and Chinese New Year🔖 · 🎈Experience 🍰Around 4 pm from the town to the mangrove forest, the first thing is to enjoy an afternoon tea at the dock, super comfortable 🚤Then you will take a speedboat to shuttle in the wetland area of the mangrove forest. The scenery along the way is good, and the crew will occasionally play the guitar and sing🎸 🐒There are many little monkeys in the depths of the forest, the crew will give everyone bananas to throw from the shore to feed them🍌, it's very interesting 🦅The crew throws the prepared meat into the water, and a group of eagles dive for food is very spectacular, the crew's imitation of the eagle's call is also very similar🤣, it is said that if you are lucky, you can see crocodiles🐊 🌅The boat will stop on the sea in the evening, allowing everyone to fish while watching the sunset. Today is really beautiful‼️ One side is the moon sprinkling silver light on the sea, one side is the sunset dyeing the sky red, looking up is the twinkling stars, it's too dreamy… ✨After dark, the boat will go to the place with fireflies. Today is the first time I saw fireflies in my life, super excited‼️‼️ The number of fireflies is not very many, but it is enough to satisfy me〰️ 🍴Return to the dock at more than 19 o'clock, eat buffet dinner🦀, depart at 20 o'clock to return to the hotel

Here comes the four-day and three-night travelogue of the diving paradise Semporna!

Here comes the four-day and three-night travelogue of the diving paradise Semporna!

Finally got time to write about Semporna h h A paradise for diving enthusiasts, it's really beautiful! 🏝 The Mabul Island Resort is very photogenic, 📷 most of the photos are taken there~ Let's talk about transportation, from Guangzhou to Kota Kinabalu by plane ✈️ then transfer to Tawau. The airfare is about 1K+ per person, and after leaving Tawau airport, we booked a water bungalow's shuttle service. Directly to the pier to take a boat to the water bungalow 🏠 The water bungalows 🏠 in the resort are generally quite expensive, we chose one called COCO, which has a reasonable cost-performance ratio. Experienced a day's stay in the water bungalow. The first day was spent taking pictures at the bungalow, playing in the water, and admiring the glassy sea 🌊 The second day we stayed in a sea view room in the town, which also had a good cost-performance ratio. But the town's environment is relatively dirty and messy, be sure to refuse the help from the little black kids at the pier with luggage, because they will ask you for a tip, and if you give one, a swarm of kids will rush up asking for money 😓, it is said that they use it to sniff some kind of glue called du 😷... Speaking of food, in Semporna you can indulge in seafood 🦞, as long as you know how to bargain, 😝 the seafood here is super cheap~ 50 for small green dragons, 200 for big lobsters, 60 for star groupers, 10 for flower crabs (in Malaysian Ringgit) eat as much as you want. There is a seafood market in the town, where the local Bajau people 👳‍♂️ come to do business and sell seafood~ Bargain down to 2-3 times the price, and after buying seafood, you can go to a nearby restaurant for processing 😋, recommend a restaurant called Shiwei, their wet cream cooking method for processing big lobsters is super delicious 👍 Finally, I recommend the fruit milk tea in the town 🥑🥭🍓 a cup for just over ten bucks is really full of fruit flesh! For activities, on the second day, we arranged a 🏝 Mabul Island hopping day trip which included morning photography on the island 📷, afternoon snorkeling 🤿, and you can also sign up for a deep dive experience. Snorkeling is 180 Malaysian Ringgit per person. Deep diving is 360. On the return trip back to Guangzhou, we saw the beautiful sunset in Kota Kinabalu 🌄, regretfully we didn't have time to eat durian 😭, the durians in Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur are super delicious~ (Don't buy the local ones in Semporna ❌, they are not tasty, a letdown) In summary, if you love diving 🤿, you really can go to Semporna (East Malaysia), if you don't dive, you can go to West Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi to check in, eat delicious food, and experience the Malaysian culture 🇲🇾🧕🏻
