The cannon salute ceremony at Edinburgh Castle is held daily at precisely 1:00 p.m. along the castle walls overlooking the Firth of Forth. Established in 1861 to assist maritime vessels in calibrating their timepieces, the ceremony begins with soldiers explaining to visitors the history and procedures of the cannon salute, followed by the firing of a blank round. Although vessels no longer rely on the salute for time synchronization, the tradition remains a signature experience of the castle and continues to attract tourists to its other historical and cultural attractions.

Edinburgh, UK!

Edinburgh, UK!

Edinburgh, UK. No matter the season, the stone buildings in Edinburgh are quite eye-catching, not because they are particularly colorful, but because these houses have been built for so long that the stone surfaces have turned somewhat black. Combined with the local damp and rainy weather, it makes the overall color uneven, which is characteristic of Edinburgh. Whether it's the ordinary streets or the University of Edinburgh, the houses are basically like this. Sitting outside a cafe and having a coffee, you can still look up to see such buildings. The overall impression is one of historical weight and reflects the city's long history.

If there’s a place we’ve gone back to time and again since living in Scotland, it’s the ‘Kingdom of Fife’.⁣ ⁣ On Edinburgh’s doorstep, the ‘Kingdom of Fife’ is the perfect place to spend a day, a weekend, or even a week if time allows. It’s a place full of amazing history, hidden gems, some of our favourite coastal towns and, more recently, the backdrop to many scenes from the hit series Outlander. ⁣ ⁣ With so many places to visit, we've worked with @welcometofife to share our Top 5 destinations to visit: ⁣ 1) Dysart ⁣ 2) Saint Monans⁣ 3) Falkland⁣ 4) Crail ⁣ 5) Culross ⁣ ⁣ Check out the blog link in our bio to find out more!⁣ #themepark#nationalpark

Fairytale Country pt.2

I’m sorry on my first post, it’s not appropriate since I’m a newbie here. Let me share about my experience during stay in Edinburgh. If you want to continue your study, it’s not bad to choose Scotland. The country with a great culture, friendly people, best buildings, and many more. You might search on internet how beautiful Scotland is especially the Edinburgh. The weather sometimes is too cold on certain period, and I don’t recommend to come here on winter, because you will not able to go to several places. it’s good to come here on summer, so you will find the best weather here. One more, the foods will not be disappointed #bestislandtraveltowns#themepark#nationalpark

PICK YOUR OWN FRUITS 🍓🫐🍒

PICK YOUR OWN FRUITS 🍓🫐🍒

We went to the farm near Edinburgh, it’s called Craigie‘s farm. There is a area that you can pick your own fruits. As you can see in the photo, there are cherries, blueberries, raspberries, black currants and red currants. First, you will need to book a place online. Once you arrive at the farm, the staff will give you a paper basket, and then you can enjoy yourself in the farm 😊

Calton Hill, Edinburgh, Scotland 💙

#mytripvlog Calton Hill is an extinct volcano and one of Edinburgh's main hills. The top of Calton hill was mesmerizing with its grassy slopes and panoramic views of the city, including Princes street, Edinburgh Castle, Salisbury Crags, Arthur's Seat, and the Holyrood Palace. Calton Hill is easily accessed by car or walk. You can walk for about five minutes to get to the top of the hill from a staircase at Regent Road or you can drive up and park. There are different entry points to Calton Hill. Takeaway Tuesdays are a must…

An incredible weeknight feast from @tazaintown with all my favourite picky bits including yogurt dip (labneh), falafel, halloumi, fried cheese Borak… 🤤 Plus I love a bit of DIY when it comes to a takeout, so we got the Shawerma Meal which came with Taza bread, chicken, Taza fries, pickles and salad. A great takeaway for sharing with a group of pals or a lovely treat for yourself! Also, you can find them on @secrettakeaways… 🤫 #themepark#nationalpark
