Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Xishuangbanna is not only a treasure trove of natural ecology, but also a warm home for Asian elephants. Here, tourists have the opportunity to participate in a unique elephant interaction experience and feel the unique charm of these wise and gentle elephants up close. The Xishuangbanna elephant interaction experience is a good opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Asian elephant culture and promote harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Activities are usually arranged in the Wild Elephant Valley or other elephant reserves in Xishuangbanna, where the environment is elegant and the trees are shady, providing elephants with a living environment close to nature.

Classic Elephant Tour: Stroll along elevated observation walkways while professional guides help trace wild elephant herds. Witness elephant families foraging and playing in their pristine habitat, using binoculars to document their authentic behaviors and understand profound human-nature harmony.

Rainforest Camp Fun: Venture into elephant rescue and breeding centers to participate in daily care under expert guidance. Learn to prepare nutritious meals, hand-feed these gentle giants, and help bathe them in crystal streams - forging cross-species bonds through intimate encounters.

Xishuangbanna 4D3N Travel Guide

Xishuangbanna 4D3N Travel Guide

Before the trip, I thought it would take at least 4 to 5 days to fully enjoy Xishuangbanna. But it turned out that 3 days were enough. Here is my itinerary for your reference: Day 1 Take a flight the night before and arrive at the hotel at around 11 pm. Then, go to Starlight Night Market. The clothes and slippers here are very affordable. Dai-style clothes are CNY 25 for a set of 5. Various vests and skirts are beautiful and cheap, and they look great in photos. After shopping, go to a nearby night market stall. The pounded chicken feet and grilled fish are super delicious. Highly recommended! Day 2 Wat Phra That Doi Wao - Manting Park (feed elephants, watch peacocks, and take photos of the sea of flowers) - Thai-style massage - Take photos at Starlight Night Market (If you are confident in your photography skills, just bring your own camera. The makeup in the night market is all the same, and I personally think it is not worth checking in) Day 3 Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (The park is large, and it will take you most of the day. The sun is very strong, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun) - Have afternoon tea - Ride a sunset roller coaster - Have dinner - Visit the riverside night market - Watch the Mekong River show + release water lanterns Day 4 Golden Pagoda - Boro Temple - Mangguo Fruit Wholesale Market (The durians here are really delicious. I tried several kinds, and they all tasted great. Worth buying!) - Take a flight back Restaurants Yun Jing*Jiang Pan, Coco Thai Garden Restaurant, Xia Wang, Wan Thai, Xiao Yu Dai-style BBQ, Luo Luo Ice House, Bing Bing Liang, Man Fei Long Grilled Chicken, Chonburi Hotels InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort: This hotel is very comfortable, and the park is large enough for a two-hour walk. The hotel offers a variety of special experiences, including Chinese, Western, and Dai restaurants. If you don't want to visit the attractions, staying in the hotel is also very pleasant. The hotel is full of lush plants, and it is a great place to take photos. Finally, remember to protect yourself from the sun.

This wasn't on our tour but you can see it from the airport so we insisted we go. AMAZING!!! It is huge so be prepared for a walk but every level in incredible! Unfortunately a storm rolled in so we rushed, didn't want to be on the metal observation deck during lightening but even that lent to beautiful photos. We got the trolly back down which was nice but I'd suggest walking up. This was an absolute highlight of our trip!

This was the first temple we went to in Xishuangbanna and what a great start! I loved watching everyone dressed up so beautifully, all the wedding photos were lovely. You will see that around town and at manny temples. Bring a hat (or buy one there like I did), I hate hats but I decided I rather a hat than a sunburn. Once again my guide never told me where I could and couldn't go but I learnt after that I could have gone in the red building which would have been lovely. So lesson learnt, go where you want and if you get sent out atleast you know for sure.

Xishuangbanna - Thailand of China

Getting There - Flights from most cities in China are relatively easy. I flew from Xi’an for around 900RMB because of the time of year I visited. The airport is quite close to the main city area of Xishuangbanna and a taxi from the airport to my hotel near Manting Park was just 15RMB. Attractions - Wild Elephant Valley, Manting Park, Mengle Cultural Park, Primitive Forest Park, Botanical Gardens, Ethnology Museum. Hotels - I stayed in 2 hotels while I was in Xishuangbanna, the first (Lavande Hotel) was near Manting Park but was noisy, dirty and felt like an unsafe area for a solo traveller. Also not much lies on this side of the river. I had a second hotel booked (Wanji Hotel) on the other side of the river which I was going to use for the second half of my trip, I moved to it earlier and loved it. The hotel room was huge and clean and the cost was quite cheap. Also it was just a 5 minute walk to the Night Markets and easy to access most other attractions from here. Food & Restaurants - Coconut Lailiao (Lunch), Meimei Cafe (Brunch), Flying Snake Brewery (Dinner). You have to try a coffee in a bag while here, I had a coconut latte and it was amazing! Shopping - Night Markets. They really do have everything here, souvenirs (handmade), food that you should try, and traditional outfits to try on and have photos with. #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #summervacation #foodie #xishuangbanna #xishuangbannatravel

Xishuangbanna Exotic Resort | The family holiday atmosphere is at its peak

| The family holiday atmosphere is at its peak. Arriving with children and family to enjoy a long-awaited vacation The most surprising thing in Xishuangbanna was booking this exotic-themed hotel Siwa is an oasis in the Egyptian desert The North African desert's earthy yellow color is nestled under Banna's blue sky and greenery It has the beauty of a fairy tale setting Inside the hotel, every step reveals a picturesque scene Our stay in the KHARGA family room, a loft-style room with two beds and a small courtyard, maximizes the holiday atmosphere The bathroom is also separated into wet and dry areas, with a large bathtub The hotel is in a large villa area, very quiet! The swimming pool, the super photogenic white gauze leisure area, is great for taking pictures, recommended to wear swimsuits, dresses for photos, every shot is perfect The courtyard coffee corner, restaurant, book bar, laundry room, gym are all very convenient to taxi to the city center, only 5 kilometers away Closer to Manting Park / Big Buddha Temple than the city center, only 3.5 kilometers away! 9.5 kilometers from the airport◇ Xishuangbanna's unmissable resort hotel

What a View!

What a View!

Getting There - taxi Attractions - Buddhist temple, golden statue, feeding peacocks and more! Hotels - many in close range Food & Restaurants - N/A Shopping - N/A i think the photos speak for themselves with this location but let me tell you a little more, first off there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the top so if your cardio isn’t great, you have small children or the heat is too much then I recommend getting a sightseeing bus however once you enter the views are stunning! you can watch the peacocks fly in from the trees and feed them, see a large golden statue and then go to the temple at the top where there is a glass platform to see the whole of xishuangbanna. Best part the ticket (without bus) is only 120rmb! all of these stunning views for a low price and if you come in off peak season there are less people so you can take even better photography #2023travelwish

This hotel in Xishuangbanna is quite dangerous!!!

This hotel in Xishuangbanna is quite dangerous!!!

Because after returning home, the person is still there, but the heart is lost🥹🥹 Hahaha, clickbaited you!!! But I really want to recommend this hotel Although it's a hotel that costs hundreds of yuan, it's really not inferior to those thousand-yuan hotels, the experience is very good 🔵The location is in Gaozhuang Xishuangjing, less than ten minutes to the Starlight Night Market, and there are many delicious places nearby. The hotel has a shuttle service, call the butler whenever you need a ride 🔵Independent large garden, the swimming pool is full of design, French style is beautiful in every corner, there is a gym, steam room, children's area... the facilities are quite complete 🍽The breakfast is very rich in variety, which is quite important for foodies😋

100 Ways of Travel in Xishuangbanna: Chinese Thailand

100 Ways of Travel in Xishuangbanna: Chinese Thailand

#100waysoftravel Xishuangbanna-dai Autonomous Region is located in southwestern China. It is abbreviated as Xishuangbanna. Dais live here - a mixture of Chinese and Thais. Or rather, assimilated Thais. They even have their own language - Dai. Since this territory is located on the border of China, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam, there is a huge mix of cultures due to the fact that this territory has been changing hands for centuries. It's an incredible feeling when you travel inside a country, but you end up in another one (in this case, from China to Thailand). A few years ago, this place was of little interest to anyone. Now it has been turned into one of the most popular tourist destinations in China. This place is truly fascinating with its color, which is complemented by picturesque nature. There are a lot of mountains around, which, by the way, makes it difficult to get here by land transport. Those who like to immerse themselves in the culture of different peoples from the inside should come here. There are quite a few Dai settlements that can be visited by tourists. That is, you walk around the village and observe the life of the local people, and you can even enter some houses. Night markets are a separate attraction in China. But here they have their own unique appearance. Once you enter such a market, you will not immediately understand which country you are in, is it China, Laos or Thailand? Souvenirs, jewelry, food, clothes, photo shoots - whatever your heart desires. In winter, the daytime temperature does not drop below 20 degrees (on average 24-27), but it may be cool at night (up to 10-12 degrees , gymnasts and dancers who will make you believe in miracles.
