There is no better to experience the Spring Festival than Fujian. In Fuzhou, check out the popular deity statue parades, especially the Houfu Parade. In Quanzhou, see the folk customs parade, Jade Emperor worshipping, fireworks at Buddha statues, and Honglai Tianxiang procession. In Putian, there are the fireworks swallowing, the Mazu parade, the Baizongjiao, and the Zaoli dance. In Zhangzhou, look at Zuodafu (great blessings ritual), the boat burning ceremony, fire stepping, and the torch festival. In Longyan, see the paper-cut dragon lanterns, bench dragons, and iron flowers.

Quanzhou | Two days and two nights

Quanzhou | Two days and two nights

🚶‍♀️ Day1: Morning flight, arrive at noon, first go to the homestay next to West Street to drop off luggage. West Street (Zeng's Old Remembered Noodle Paste, lunch) - Kaiyuan Temple - Bell Tower - Chengtian Temple - Guanyue Temple - Qingjing Temple - rest with fruit tea - Wen Temple - Zhongshan Road Cultural Street - Huaxiang Catholic Church - A Shan Ginger Duck (dinner) - Puppet Theater (18:00 show) - West Street (late-night snack) Day2: Tianhou Palace - Fumei Xiao Wangye's Palace - Wulin Ancient Village - Green Island Seafood Restaurant (lunch) - Luojia Temple - Xunpu Village - West Street Day3: Return flight Noodle paste, ginger duck, four-fruit soup, vinegar meat, clam pancake, beef offal soup, beef soup, dry mixed noodles, matsutake buns (Green Island), pot sighting, steak, taro crispy duck, Auntie's chicken rack, mochi, braised noodles were all tasted. Highly recommend the noodle paste, clam pancake, Green Island, taro crispy duck; Auntie's chicken rack is very ordinary, although you can order with a QR code and get online reminders for meal pickup, it's not worth queuing for. Day1 except for the taxi from the airport to West Street and back and forth to the Puppet Theater, the rest was on foot; Day2 was all by taxi. Huaxiang Catholic Church, Xunpu Village (if not wearing flowers) can be skipped, they are very average, and so is the Bell Tower. West Street has Li Coffee Shop rooftop check-in (requires in-store consumption, the main entrance is in a small alley), Guanyue Temple, Luojia Temple are very beautiful. Puppet Theater requires advance ticket grabbing on the official WeChat account, a show is 60min, and it's really worth watching. It's not possible to hail a taxi near Tianhou Palace, so walked to the side of Fumei Xiao Wangye's Palace to take a taxi, no need to go there specially. The city's kapok and bougainvillea are blooming, bustling with flowers, and everywhere there are Southern Fujian temples, old districts, Western romantic, Southeast Asian style, and Southern Fujian tradition, Quanzhou is really special, indeed half the city is mundane and half is celestial. Walking in the alleys, the wind blowing in the face is cool and refreshing, mixed with some floral fragrance. The houses on the street, the small parks, the streets themselves are very much like our childhood homes, more like our childhood hometown than our current hometown. I had this feeling before in Nanping, Fujian seems to have pressed the pause button on time.

Quanzhou! Living on the beach and embracing the beauty of the sea is amazing

🧸In early summer, a gentle breeze sweeps through Quanzhou, this ancient city with a long history, bringing with it a touch of laziness and comfort. In this city full of stories, I encountered a charming homestay. 🏡The homestay is located on an antique street, surrounded by the charm of years gone by. As soon as I entered the homestay, I was attracted by its unique decoration style. Solid wood furniture, classical decorations, it's as if I traveled back to that poetic ancient time. Every corner exudes a simple atmosphere, making it irresistible to immerse oneself and savor the details. 💕What's even more delightful is the living environment of the homestay. Warm tones, comfortable beds, spacious balconies, everything is just right. At night, lying in bed, looking up at the starry sky, it seems that one can hear the footsteps of time. In the morning, the sunlight pours into the room through the windows, waking up to the sound of birds chirping. Such a living environment makes one long to stay. 🍲Of course, the food at the homestay is also a major highlight. Quanzhou cuisine is uniquely charming, and every snack is memorable. Here, the homestay owner has carefully prepared a rich breakfast, the local flavor is unforgettable. Not only that, but the homestay also provides recommendations for surrounding delicacies, allowing one to taste the most authentic dishes during the journey. 🎀The most unforgettable is the warm and thoughtful hospitality of the homestay owners. They are like a living map of the city, whether it's sightseeing recommendations or travel guides, they can provide the most detailed answers. Talking with the owners is like listening to an old friend telling stories about their hometown, which feels very cordial. ✈️The Quanzhou homestay, like a beautiful poem, from the moment of encounter, makes one linger and forget to return. In this comfortable space, I found the perfect combination of ancient charm and modern fashion. If you also want to feel the charm of this city, why not stay in this homestay for a night, I believe it will leave you with unforgettable memories. ✅In summary, the charm of the Quanzhou homestay can only be fully appreciated through personal experience. In this place full of stories, it awaits your arrival. Let's together feel the charm of this ancient city, and taste the tranquility and beauty.

| A Relaxing and Romantic Afternoon at Tuji Lane and Zaihua Lane. Quanzhou Store Exploration | A Relaxing and Romantic Afternoon at Tuji Lane and Zaihua Lane. Zaihua Lane is a space that combines a cafe, restaurant, and homestay. The first floor is a retro-style cafe and a restaurant with a Minnan-style decor. As soon as I entered the door, I was attracted by the French retro space and sat down with my friends to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. After having afternoon tea, I walked into the Minnan-style restaurant. The drinks are also presented in a very special way, which perfectly matches the decor style. The food and drinks are delicious. My friends and I all said that we would come back to this restaurant again. I have to mention the almond shrimp balls with pandan sauce, which are really delicious. My friends and I couldn't stop praising them. The black pepper beef pasta is also very fragrant (I won't use too exaggerated words to describe it). I can only say that the delicious food is really delicious, and I will eat it again next time. Business hours: 10:00–22:00 Per capita consumption: It depends on your budget. The price is reasonable, and the new single item is only a few dozen yuan. If you travel to Quanzhou, I recommend you to visit the alleys of Quanzhou and stay in this homestay. I told my friends that if I were a tourist, I would choose to stay here. The environment is very good, and you can sit on the top floor to enjoy the scenery and wait for the sunset. You can enjoy the sunset around the East and West Pagodas, which slowly falls around the pagodas. It's a wonderful feeling.

Quanzhou North Binjiang Park's hairawn muhly flower sea is a romantic autumn check-in spot.

In autumn, you must visit Quanzhou North Binjiang Park - Sunwu Garden to check in at the beautiful hairawn muhly flower sea 🎉! 📍Location: Quanzhou North Binjiang Park, just across the red bridge behind Wanda Plaza in Puxi 🌟 or Sunjiang Park. 🎫Tickets: Free, very considerate 👏! 🌸Flowering period: It is said to last until mid-November, so now is the perfect time to visit 🤗 The hairawn muhly here is so beautiful. From a distance, it looks like a pink cloud, like a dream, as if you have stepped into a fairy tale world 🌈. When you walk into the flower sea, the pink and purple flower spikes are as light as hair, gently swaying in the breeze, as if the earth is covered with a soft pink carpet, or like clouds falling from the sky, super romantic 💕. 📸Photo tips: 1️⃣The long shot is beautiful. You can let the hairawn muhly surround you and take a photo of being submerged in the flower sea, creating a full atmosphere 🥰. 2️⃣Try to squat down to take photos, so you can avoid shooting a messy background and get closer to the hairawn muhly, making the photos more layered 📷. 3️⃣You can take photos by the roadside or in places where there are no flowers, but be careful not to crush the grass. Appreciate the flowers in a civilized manner 🌷. In addition to hairawn muhly, the park also has goldenrain trees, with colorful, golden, and orange-red interwoven colors, gorgeous and spectacular 🌳. In short, the hairawn muhly flower sea in Quanzhou North Binjiang Park or Sunjiang Park is definitely worth a visit. Invite your friends to experience the romance of autumn together 💕!

Quanzhou City: Morning and Evening

Quanzhou City: Morning and Evening

Look at this treasure hotel I found! It's hidden behind Qingyuan Mountain, a 5A scenic spot! Quanzhou Mingshan Qingyuan Tea House 📍Location The hotel is located behind Qingyuan Mountain, a 5A scenic spot. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the scenic spot, which takes about 10 minutes. When we went down the mountain to West Street, the hotel staff drove us to the foot of the mountain, and it only cost us a little over 10 yuan to take a taxi. The prices in Quanzhou are very cheap, haha. 🏠Accommodation Which hotel room offers a view of Quanzhou City even when you are taking a bath? (Pic 2️⃣) The view from the room is amazing, with green mountains and trees and the beautiful Quanzhou City. My bestie and I sat and chatted while enjoying the view and the tea provided by the hotel (Pic 3️⃣). 🍵Intangible Cultural Heritage Tea Culture The hotel offers many tea-related activities, which is not surprising since it is in Quanzhou! My bestie and I set aside a day to experience them. In the morning, a staff member taught us how to make Song-style tea (Pic 4️⃣, bottom), which is the same as in Liu Yifei's TV series "A Dream of Splendor"! We learned about the history and culture of tea and painted on the tea surface. It was fun! In the afternoon, we experienced intangible cultural heritage tea in their glass tea room (Pic 4️⃣, top). The view from the tea room was also beautiful, and my bestie and I took a lot of photos. 📷 🍴Dining Breakfast was hearty and delicious (Pic 5️⃣, top). My bestie and I didn't want to go down the mountain and wait in line for lunch and dinner, so we ate at the tea house. Ordering was easy. We ordered in the service group, and they called us when the food was ready. The food was surprisingly good! It was authentic Minnan cuisine, and they also served their own chickens, ducks, and vegetables, which were fresh and sweet. The staff told us that March and April are the cherry blossom season, so my bestie and I will definitely come back for a few days to take photos!

Swipe left for Guan Yue Temple lighting ceremony and a super detailed guide to Quanzhou night tour.

Business trip to Fujian, changed flight ticket Strive to spend one day visiting Quanzhou Heartbroken for spending an extra 300 yuan on ticket change fee Came here and regretted not staying longer Quanzhou is so fun to visit! 1⃣️Quanzhou Guan Yue Temple (Figure 1-3) Guan Yue Temple is a very popular temple in Quanzhou. It is said to be very effective. Many devout believers come from afar to visit. During the day, the exquisite architecture of the temple is impressive. Heard that the night view is even more beautiful, so I came to wait for the lights to turn on when it was almost dark. 📍Location: No. 186-189, Tong Huai Guan Yue Temple, Tu Men Street, Licheng District, Quanzhou City ⏰Time: 6:00-20:00 🎫Ticket: Free entry 💡Lights on: 18:00-22:00 (lighting time may vary slightly each day) The moment the lights turned on was truly breathtaking, I couldn't help but exclaim "wow". However, when we went, the lights turned on two minutes early, so we didn't record the moment they turned on. If you want to take a video, be sure to prepare in advance. 2⃣️Quanzhou Clock Tower (Figure 4) The clock tower, with a history of over 100 years, is a landmark of Quanzhou. The fusion of Western and Minnan styles is truly memorable. I don't think you need to visit the clock tower specifically, because you will always pass by it when walking in the ancient city of Quanzhou, and you can always see the clock tower. 3⃣️Quanzhou Xiao Xi Cheng (Figure 5 & 6) When visiting West Street, try to explore some alleys. Figure 5 & 6 are random alleys I explored. I found them quite beautiful, so I took some photos. I also ate grilled seafood in a small shop inside. Looking back at the photos, the lantern reads "Xiao Xi Cheng", which is probably the main road leading to Xiao Xi Cheng. I don't recommend visiting Xiao Xi Cheng, as the lights are too dim at night for taking photos. It's also too commercial and uniform, not as interesting as exploring various alleys. 4⃣️Kaiyuan Temple (Figure 7) When visiting West Street, you will pass by Kaiyuan Temple. The entire Kaiyuan Temple is relatively dark at night. The twin towers are illuminated by spotlights at night, creating a unique atmosphere in photos. You don't need to walk close to Kaiyuan Temple to see the twin towers. You can always see them from the ancient city, and of course, there are many beautiful photo spots. 4⃣️Tourist Center (Figure 8-10) I heard from a passerby that there is a rooftop at the West Street Tourist Center. I accidentally went up to the rooftop and found a great photo spot. You can overlook the night view of West Street and take a photo with Zhen Guo Tower. It's free. A little regret is that I didn't bring a light at night, it was too dark to take portraits. It must be great to take photos of people here during the day. 5⃣️Various creative shops (Figure 11-14) There is a creative shop on the first floor of the Tourist Center. I don't remember the name of the shop in Figure 11-14. It's a large space, great for taking photos. Quanzhou's creative shops are really fun to visit. Among all the places I've been, Quanzhou has the most diverse and numerous creative shops. I was dazzled by the choices and couldn't help but buy a lot of things to take home.

Just got back! A super fresh travel guide to Quanzhou

Just got back! A super fresh travel guide to Quanzhou

Just got back! A super fresh travel guide to Quanzhou📍 Just came back from Quanzhou, which is a city suitable for short trips. It has low living costs, and you can experience the local culture as well as enjoy the seaside. I suggest spending one day in Quanzhou city and another day at the beach. I went to Shishi to see the sea. 🚗Transportation It's best to take the high-speed train to Quanzhou Station, which is closer to the scenic spots. The attractions in Quanzhou city are quite concentrated. You can take a taxi to West Street, and then use Quanzhou's 'little white cars' which cost 2 yuan per person. They can stop anywhere you like, and it's really comfortable to ride in the breeze! I wonder why this kind of transportation isn't implemented nationwide. If you're going to Shishi and there are many people, you can take a taxi directly. If there are fewer people, you can take a ride-share for about 50 yuan, and the journey takes about an hour. 🏠Accommodation You can stay near Quanzhou Station, and a taxi to the attractions costs about twenty yuan. If you want convenience, you can stay near West Street. I stayed at Asano Guesthouse inside West Street, which is newly opened with a good environment and strong design sense, suitable for taking photos. For my stay in Shishi, I stayed in a sea-view room at a place called 'Chasing the Sea Girl'. The environment was very nice, and the room was large, about 50 square meters, and you could see the sunrise over the sea from the bed. 🚴Route In Quanzhou city, you should visit West Street, Kaiyuan Temple, Guandi Temple, Qingjing Mosque, and the Bell Tower. Most of these are temples, so it's best to wear long skirts or trousers, otherwise, you won't be allowed in. Also, bring a jacket. For hairpins, you can go to Xunpu Village or just do it on West Street, both cost around 40 yuan. Actually, the hairpins on West Street are quite good. I suggest getting your hair done first and then go to Kaiyuan Temple for photos, as it's easier to get good shots there since other places are too crowded. I also went to the Puppet Theatre, and you should book tickets in advance, otherwise, you'll end up looking for scalpers like I did. If you like intangible cultural heritage, you can experience it there. In Shishi, you can check out Golden Coast, Hongta Bay, Guanyin Mountain, and the sea temples. 🥣Food The food is all near West Street, you can try Mianxianhu and snow ice, taro cakes, they all taste pretty good. I didn't like the sour wild taste, and Hou A Po's meat zongzi was also average. The least recommended is the popular Dongxing Beef Shop, which is hard to queue for, but the taste and service are not good. Everyone at our table didn't like it. However, we ordered Jinzhou barbecue as takeout and it tasted good. Listening to local friends, it might be better to go to places that are not popular online! There's not much good food in Shishi as it's not very commercialized yet, I mostly ate at KFC
