#familytrips2024 Several of the Game of Thrones filming locations were done in Dubrovnik Old Town. I had visited some of these locations while in Dubrovnik. 1. Dubrovnik West Harbour (this is just below Fort Lovrjenac) 2. Dubrovnik West Pier - Blackwater Bay 3. The Rector's Palace - Qarth 4. Fort Lovrjenac - The Red Keep 5. Jesuit Staircase by Saint Ignatius Church There are quite a number of Game of Thrones walking tours in Dubrovnik as well where the tour guide will bring you around the real life filming locations. This will be an interesting experience for Game of Thrones fans. My dream destination will be Japan.

Did I actually find a Games of Throne filming location in Slovakia? I wish,BUT ACTUALLY this castle is not one of the filming location eventho it looks like it could be part of Westeros so much with the medieval looking castle ruins, isn’t it? 📍Devin Castle, Bratislava This beautiful castle located at the border of Slovakia and Austria and you can see Danube river and Morava river intersection that separate the two countries. It is built on top of a crag and its remain a ruin till this days as it is one of the oldest castle in Slovakia. You have to visit the panoramic view from the Maiden Castle overlooking the beautiful rivers, truly breathtaking. I was able to see it far from distance during my visit and it was my highlight! The entry ticket to this castle is 6€ because we come during a public holiday in Europe but normal price ticket is 8€. I think it used to be priced lower back in the early days. We took a Bolt taxi from Bratislava Castle to here Hrad and we paid 7.80€ divided by the three of us. Bolt here is super affordable, I do suggest taking Bolt in Slovakia compared to taking bus if you prefer convenience! So do you think this is a hidden gem in Slovakia? Visit one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones, which was also the residence of the double kings who rewrote Spanish history. 👑👑 In the garden of the palace, three rectangular pools with varying elevations are arranged in a consistent manner. Tall trees 🌲 and colorful flowers 🌼🌹🌷🌸 stand side by side, and when viewed from above, the landscape of the garden is very beautiful and exquisite. Here, two and a half hours passed by accident. Game of Thrones filming location! Ait Ben Haddou travel guide

Departing from Marrakech, a 3.5-hour self-drive will take you to a must-visit spot on the loop, the Game of Thrones filming location Ait Ben Haddou! The village is very small, if you are in a hurry like us, you can stay directly in the village. If you want to stay in a better place, you can go to Ouarzazate first, and then drive back 30km to Ait Ben Haddou village. You can walk directly to the castle from the main road of the village. As the filming location of 'Game of Thrones', 'The Mummy', and 'Gladiator', it is also very popular among photography enthusiasts, and it's a great place for taking photos! 💡The castle is free of charge🆓, but there is an old man who charges for the nearest shortcut. (Probably because it passes by his house?) Most tourists and group tours go up from the right side of the main road, cross the nearly dry creek, and follow the sign with the large 'Entrance' to the main gate of the castle! The entire castle is surrounded by red brick walls, with scenery all the way, and various local souvenir shops and handicrafts. You can overlook the entire village from the highest point~ Especially the stairs in front of the highest point of the castle, it's a great place for taking photos!📸 When you come down, you can rest in a local tea house and have a cup of Moroccan mint tea🍃. The terrace view of the tea house we went to was superb! Taking photos gives a sense of Aladdin's magic lamp, full of exotic charm, and the boss is very enthusiastic~☀️ Finally, cross the bridge back to the village, taking photos of the castle from the bridge is also a beautiful spot!🕶 🏨Accommodation We stayed at the very popular Guest House Bagdad Café in the village, there is a parking space at the door🅿️, and it's very convenient to go to the castle!

#europetrip Have you watch Game of Thrones? In Dubrovnik, Fort Lovrjenac is the filming location of Red Keep in King's Landing. Fort Lovrjenac (also known as St Lawrence Fortress) is located just outside the city walls in Dubrovnik, and can be reached within a 5 minute walk. However, you will need to climb up quite a fair bit to reach the Fort as it's 37m above sea level. The views from the top are breathtaking and beautiful. The fort overlooks the city walls, Dubrovnik Old Town and the West Harbour. It also overlooks the beautiful Adriatic Sea.

Mdina was the capital of Malta until 1530, when the Knights of Malta took over Malta from the Romans, ending Mdina's history as the capital of Malta. I guess this noble city must have been loved by the highest echelons of power throughout the ages, which is why this ancient capital, both a military fortress and a gathering place for the powerful, was built in the heart of the Mediterranean. Imagine the bustling scenes of Romans, Arabs, and Normans coming and going here. It also became the initial preferred filming location for King's Landing in Game of Thrones. Although the final King's Landing was not filmed here, the scene where Daenerys rides into the city was shot here, and the city gate still retains its well-preserved medieval appearance. Mdina is also known as the 'Silent City,' quietly lying in the center of Malta Island for 4,000 years.
