Although I ain't a hardcore hiker, I really went on to do this just for the perfect meadows that's spread over the whole area. If only I had some swiss cattles 🐮 I can grow them very healthy here 😝 such is the lush green 💚 grass. The hiking 🥾 path started at Shenzi village, and as a first milestone we set to reach the Golden summit also called as Bai he peak. Then few of us decided to go easy on our body😋 and took the ropeway to Stone drum temple. Here’s my personal experience: 🧩 Gear: Based on others' guides, I packed a windbreaker, water bottle, power bank, snacks, raincoat, flashlight, sunglasses, mask, insect repellent, trash bags, and cash. 👆🏻 However, I found some items unnecessary: Water bottle (I drank a bottle of mineral water on the way up and bought a cup at the top, so I didn’t use my water bottle at all). Flashlight: There are small night lights along the path, and the phone’s flashlight is more than enough (I followed the route, so I didn’t use the flashlight at all). Cash: The signal at the top is good, so I didn’t use cash. ID card (a QR code is enough to enter, so forgetting the ID card is not a problem). Hiking stick: A professional hiking stick might help, but a cheap bamboo stick is unnecessary and heavy. If you need a hiking stick, choose the lightest one. Wugong Mountain is absolutely stunning! Here's a hiking guide and tips to avoid pitfalls! I just got back from hiking Wugong Mountain and put together this guide overnight. Wugong Mountain is great for hiking all year round! Be sure to check out this guide to avoid pitfalls. I hope it helps anyone planning to visit Wugong Mountain in April or May. Transportation Pingxiang North Railway Station and Pingxiang Railway Station You can take a bus directly to Wugong Mountain Pingxiang Railway Station: After exiting the station, walk to the long-distance bus station and take a bus to Wugong Mountain Pingxiang North Railway Station: Take Express Bus Line 1 from the high-speed railway station directly to the Wugong Mountain Tourist Service Center There are direct buses to Wugong Mountain from Pingxiang North Railway Station, which take about 1 hour Self-driving: Set your navigation to Wugong Mountain Tourist Service Center Road Hiking route: General sightseeing route Take the cable car from the main entrance to Zhong'an to go up the mountain → Jinding (choose to hike up the mountain or take the cable car to Jinding according to your own situation, rest for one night after arriving, you can camp or stay in a guesthouse) → Diaomazhuang → Starry Sky Meadow → Glass Walkway → Diaomazhuang → Take the cable car from Zhong'an to go down the mountain This route is a slow-paced sightseeing walking route, not very difficult, with nice scenery, and is more suitable for ordinary tourists Hero hiking route: Longshan Village → Fayingjie → Qianzhangyan → Hero Slope (rest for one night) → Chijiao'ao → Despair Slope → Starry Sky Meadow (rest for one night) → Diaomazhuang → Jinding → Take the cable car from Jinding to go down the mountain → Take the cable car from Zhong'an to go down the mountain This route is relatively challenging, takes a long time, and is far Best time to visit: Green Wugong Mountain: May to early October Golden Wugong Mountain: November to April White Wugong Mountain: January to February (more likely)
