Gaudí, a man who upholds a city! Barcelona guide

Gaudí, a man who upholds a city! Barcelona guide

Antoni Gaudí was undoubtedly a madman I even suspect he was a time traveler🚪 🙏Which one do you love the most, quickly vote, let's worship together🙏 1. Sagrada Familia🕍 Sagrada Familia, a World Heritage site, still unfinished 2. Park Güell, indescribable, a noble castle in the suburbs, the colorful kind. 3. Casa Vicens, many of Gaudí's buildings have an empty middle, interesting❤️‍🔥. 4. Artigas Gardens, love this one a lot😽😽😽, you can feel animals pouncing unexpectedly, it's both architecture and nature🌊 5. Casa Milà, dare to ask what are these on the roof? There's a sense of power💪, is it Moorish art? Curves, arches, and wildly imaginative forms🤯, seems to be inspiring something in humanity🙄 6. Casa Batlló, the feeling of being completely integrated when viewed from outside🧱 and inside. 7. El Capricho, a perfect Lego block🕌, so is there a matching Lego set🕵🏻‍♀️ 8. Güell Estate Church, religious features➕nature➕lines🥰 PS: Everyone knows where the cover photo is from, right?🤫 It's a bit far to go to 2 and 4, more convenient by car.🚗🚗🚗

Park Güell is truly a masterpiece.

Park Güell is truly a masterpiece.

#2024wish A few years ago, I explored the captivating Park Güell in Barcelona. Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, the park mesmerized me with its breathtaking architecture and imaginative elements. The vibrant mosaic tiles, whimsical sculptures, and unique organic forms showcased Gaudí's distinctive style. The iconic lizard sculpture, known as "El Drac," welcomed visitors with its colorful tiles and playful design. As I strolled through the park, the panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea added to the overall enchantment. The architectural details, from the undulating benches to the gingerbread-like houses, reflected Gaudí's genius and creativity. Park Güell is truly a masterpiece, blending nature and art seamlessly, creating an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates architectural marvels. In 2024, I wish to visit Melaka.

Colorful park - Park Güell

Colorful park - Park Güell

The central area of the park is composed of a huge open oval square, with three uniquely shaped fountains in the center, the most famous of which is called Gaudi Dragon, which has the appearance of a giant lizard. Ascending the steps, you will reach a hall supported by 86 Doric columns, known as the "Hall of a Hundred Columns". Originally planned as a market where residents could set up stalls and street musicians could perform, the Hall of a Hundred Columns is now a magnificent space. Above the hall is a circular plaza, with winding benches along the edge, resembling a colorful snake coiled on the plaza, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This is probably the longest and most beautiful bench in the world, covered with beautiful tiles that form various patterns and images, like a fairy tale world. Gaudi's consistent style is inherited in Park Güell, where all design elements come from nature. Gaudi had a sincere love for nature and transformed mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and animals into his designs. Therefore, the beauty of nature is the source of art!

Basilica of the Sagrada Família

If you visit Barcelona, you absolutely cannot miss the **Basilica of the Sagrada Família**! Designed by the Spanish architect **Antoni Gaudí**, this church is not only the most iconic landmark of Barcelona but also one of the most unique religious buildings in the world. Approaching the Sagrada Família, the first thing that catches your eye is its spectacular exterior, filled with Gothic and Art Nouveau details. Each facade tells a different religious story, especially the **Nativity Facade** and the **Passion Facade**, with their intricate carvings and rich imagery that leave visitors in awe. Stepping inside the church, you feel as if you have entered a dreamlike forest of light and shadow—the sunlight streaming through the colorful stained glass windows creates a sacred and fantastical atmosphere throughout the space. It is worth mentioning that the construction of this church began in 1882 and is still not completed! However, this does not diminish its grandeur; instead, it makes people even more eager for the day it is finally finished. If you come to Barcelona, be sure to book your tickets in advance to experience this **unfinished miracle** in person!
